Downstate New York Pet-friendly Vacations

Although I paid expedia, the hotel charged me for a stay. If I didn't check my statement, I wouldn't have known. Also and additional $45 a night in fees is very high.

The hotel was very nice, but once you got into the elevator and went up to the floor, it was not very clean. The door to the room, barely shut. It didn’t look very clean, and there was shampoo packets from the people who previously stayed there that were not properly cleaned. It kind of seemed like they did some patchwork to make it look renovated, but honestly, the rooms looked like it was a pretty messy job. I would probably stay somewhere else next time. I did love the location though.

Front staff was very helpful and nice. Room was clean and cozy. Only downside was the soundproofing isn’t that great and you could hear everything from the hallways in the room.

We stayed 7 nights at the High Line Hotel in a Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed. It was fantastic and we absolutely loved it! The hotel was clean, the beds were the best we've every experienced (Wright Bedding Mattresses!), and the hotel has old world character charm that was comfortable and wonderful to be in (don't expect a modern hotel!). We had easy access to everything and within easy walking distance was: The High Line, the Vessell, Chelsea Markets, Hudson River park, fantastic cafe's and restaurants. The subway was an easy walk and gave us quick access to: the MET, MOMA, Central Park, Dizzy Club, Grand Central Station, the NY Public Library and Time Square to the north and the 9/11 memorial, a trip to DUMBO and a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to the south. 10 out of 10 for everything! Absolutely loved it!

One of the two elevators not working was a downer. 15 to 20 minutes waiting to go to my room after check in was a bigger downer. Deciding to climb up the stairs to the sixth floor in a hotel to avoid waiting for the elevator several times was even more of a downer.
