Everything about the Swanendele Inn was exceptional: the location, the accommodations, the facilities, the decor, the hosts, and, not least, the breakfast. In fact, you could spend several days just exploring the remarkable antiques and artifacts around the place. However, what made the strongest impression was the fiery glow of dawn though the pine trees outside our balcony every morning in the Margeret Brent suite. Rhododaktylos, "The rosy-fingered dawn": I never understood the true meaning of that phrase until I saw that.

We had a wonderful stay. Great restaurants. Only issue was with the noise inside the room from the heating unit. Disturbed my sleep, otherwise we enjoyed the stay.

The building check in and room was fantastic. The room was set up very well for us, the small kitchen was perfect for all of our needs for our stay. We were very disappointed in how loud the neighbors were. We were constantly overwhelmed with a strong smell of weed and very loud music. This continued until 6 am one of the nights. It was unfortunate considering how much we appreciated the rest of the experience. We were also under the impression that this room was in Capitol Hill and it definitely was not, that was very inconvenient for us
