Gulf of Thailand Mountain Vacations

The restaurant staff was very helpful and able to cater for one member of our party that has coeliac disease. For the duration of our stay there were no problems at all. The location was beautiful and the facilities in good condition. Staff was always helpful. Room for improvement would be the absence of any drawers or shelves to unpack your suitcases to. Room servicing was a bit hit and miss. Sometimes you got new towels for those you put in the wash, sometimes you only got one or two. Sometimes the minibar would be restocked... sometimes not.

My wife and I had the best time at this resort. The high level of service, cleanliness, location, staff and manager made our stay a very remorable experience. The manager took trime to meet us at our dinner table and we had a great conversation. The views are spectaculer and they upgraded us to a suite. It had breathtaking views and would definately stay here again. If you want peace and quiet without kids running around, this is the place to relax. I hated to leave this place. I will definately stay here again when visiting Koh Samui. The infinity pool was also great. Thanks management and staff for making our stay way above what was expected.

The view and the breakfast service get 5 stars. The view and the setting will take your breath away. The food and service at the breakfast was perfect every time! We also enjoyed the food and the staff at the Azure restaurant. We didn’t try the other restaurants. The hotel management fell short. First, we booked what they call a “1 Bedroom Five Island Villa with private pool”. The villa and the view were beautiful BUT this is NOT a 1 bedroom villa. There are only two rooms— a large bedroom with a small sitting area and tv (the TV doesn’t tilt towards the bed so you can’t watch TV from your bed) and a beautiful and large bathroom/closet. I paid about $125 per day extra for my son to get a rollaway bed and breakfast (which was included for only 2 people). I was surprised when I walked in the room and saw the rollaway placed right next to our bed because despite being advertised as a 1 bedroom villa, there wasn’t a separate living area for the rollaway. Also, at turn down, we only received two cookies or treats despite being 3 people- not a huge deal but a notable shortfall. One day, the hotel closed the pool and one of the 3 restaurants to hotel paying guests for almost all day so they could host a wedding. It seemed unfair to paying guests to be inconvenienced during a high season so the hotel could double dip and host a wedding. When we wanted to eat dinner only the Thai restaurant was open due to wedding events and the steakhouse being too busy to accommodate hotel guests un

Thank you to Silavadee for making our honeymoon special. We fell in love with resort and it was absolutely perfect. The room was incredibly spacious, and the pool as part of the villa was perfect for a dip at any time of day. We appreciated the complimentary happy hour every day at the resort. The highlight of the our stay was definitely the food, probably the best breakfast menu and buffet we’ve ever had. We also at at the Star restaurant and the food options were plenty and very tasty. Resort is also pretty spread out but you can always call the front desk to send a golf cart if you’re tired or don’t want to walk the hills. In terms of location, very conveniently located about 25 mins south of Chaweng. And just a short 10 minute ride down to Lamai. Lamai had plenty of options for food and bars, and a very pleasant beach as well. Overall we wish we could have extended our stay another day or two as Koh Samui was a beautiful island with so much to do. We can’t wait to visit again and stay at Silavadee.
