Great Abaco Island Mountain Vacations

Property was well maintained overall. Staff was attentive and friendly. Hotel was in walking distance to downtown and great food options in close proximity. My husband and I had the basic king room with the pool view. Room size was small but enough for the both of us. Our overall experience was a 10/10

Although the staff was very nice, we were not very happy with the rooms. The decor was nice and the kitchen had everything needed but… Our first room was not cleaned well. The bathroom grout was dirty and the carpet sticky. We moved to another room and although that one was very clean there was an issue with the air conditioning. The room was always very humid. Our clothes felt humid all the time. As soon as you opened the door you could feel the humidity smell. Although they came to check on the AC it was never really fixed. Also the noise every time the AC turned on sounded like an airplane taking off. It was so loud and the unit was inside the bedroom, it would wake you up multiple times during the night. Regarding transportation around the other properties, in the most part there were buses coming every 10-15 minutes which was fine, but one time we had to wait at the royal for 30 minutes waiting for a bus. Everything there is very expensive, specially water!! One bottle is $12 USD. The other properties were nice but be prepared to walk very long distances. To go to the the beach you have to walk a very long distance. The food at the fish by jose Andre’s restaurant was delicious as well as the su day brunch at the buffet
