Ehime Prefecture Kid friendly Vacations

First off, the location was great, about a 10 minute walk from Matsuyama station, and right next to Matsuyama Castle. While the hotel is older, the room and bathroom were clean. There were some stains on the carpet and wall paper, and the plastics in the bathroom are little yellowed, but still overall clean. The air conditioning worked well, and the the room was quite large, at least by Japan budget hotel standards. I paid slightly more for a castle view room, and the view was definitely worth the extra money. Overall, I think the hotel is a good value, personally had no regrets staying here, and would gladly stay here again.

The Japanese style room is as close to a ryokan stay as you can get. Try the Japanese breakfast - both the Japanese and western breakfast was plentiful, nutritious and tasty. Around the corner to the Dogo Onsen (historic onsen that recently reopened) although we didn’t visit, seeing the building (at night) is impressive. We can to visit the shrines and do a tiny Henro - this is walkable to the Ishitige Shrine and others close by. Wonderful stay - and getting a room with the in room onsen was very a nice indulgence.

Perfect location, right next to Okaido Station/Shopping Street. Room was spacious and clean. Good breakfast buffet with nice view on Matsuyama Castle.
