Denmark Kid friendly Vacations

Ideal location near the train station and can walk or use public transport everywhere. Staff were great. Room was a good size. Super comfortable bed. Very small bathroom. And a bit short on shelf space. Great breakfast buffet and a nice bar to come back to after walking all day. Overall great value.

Everything was exceptional

My room was not clean (hair in the bathroom/sticky furniture), no towels at all in the bathroom. Was given twin beds even when I booked the Family suite with king bed. The reception said hotel was fully booked the first night so we did a sleepless night with toddler in the "Family suite" but they were nice enough to change us to a different room the next day and things were fine after that. The 3 star review is specifically for the first horrible night.

The location of Hotel Kong Arthur was very convenient. It was within a few blocks of the river and bridge to Norrebro neighborhood, the market where you can buy fresh produce and hot/cold prepared foods, grocery stores, and the Norreport metro/train stations. The main shopping area is within 10 minutes walk with many shops and restaurants. I didn't attend the breakfast since I prefer to grab something "on the go" such as the various bakery items and pastries from the market. I did visit the bar one night and the bartenders were really nice. The rooms were spacious enough since I was a solo traveler. Some of the mouldings showed some wear, but my room was clean.

We stayed over the Easter weekend and they had organised extra activities for the children which was a great touch. We loved using the pool and sauna after our day out exploring the city. We had a large family room which was two rooms interconnected and that worked very well for us, the rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The hotel is a short walk from the trains and buses to get around the various parts of the city, or even a train across to Sweden. We enjoyed drinks in the lobby bar, brasserie bar, and in the sky bar on the top floor which had some nice views. We decided to eat all meals outside of the hotel, and found it easy to find some good cafes for breakfast, and food markets for lunch or dinner.

Breakfast was great, the concierge was the friendliest person I’ve experienced at a hotel. Remembered us from the first day and always checking the food. Wish I had had employees with his attitude!
