Isla Contoy Golf Vacations

We did a little resort hop halfway through our trip, and wow — we are so glad this was our final stop! It ended our vacation on such a high note. The food was excellent (consistently good, which isn’t always the case at resorts), and the drinks were really well done. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We weren’t able to get a king bed, which was a bit of a bummer, but honestly it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The beach access was easy and convenient, and I really appreciated the size of the resort — not too big, not overwhelming, and it felt easy to navigate. We also met some great people during our stay, which made it even more memorable. Such a great way to wrap up our trip — we’d absolutely come back as well as recommend!

Ava was a nice facility, however considering the amount you pay to stay at the property you would expect the rooms to be exceptionally clean. Our room was not the cleanest until the 2nd day when we left a $20 tip for housekeeping. The adult pool was overcrowded and service was extremely slow, which caused my husband & I to have to sit at the kid pool, just to find seating. We were unable to attend the on-sight club 2 nights in a row, due to overcrowding. The club can only accommodate 160 people, so if you're interested, get there extremely early. Prior to checkout, we were promised a complimentary van ride to the airport by one of their staff, however, at checkout they tried to charge us $76 for the ride, which ultimately turned into a mess. Overrall, Ava is a decent resort, but won't be returning.
