Perfect staff Great parking Amazing location Loved loved everything Not too far to walk to historic city I love to walk so for me the adventure started at the hotel

This hotel is in a great location. Parking is tough but at least there is an unloading zone to drop off your luggage. Bed was comfortable. Our main complaint was NO hot water. Showers were extremely tough in cold water.

Construction on street limited safe access.

Our four day stay in Sofitel was absolutely a lovely restful experience The check in was seamless and perfect. The housekeeping five star. The overall experience was fantastic I must specifically mention Frederic who went the extra mile to assist in getting a doctor’s appointment for my Aunty and Maya who was very helpful and both made the unexpected need for treatment sorted. The hotel is situated in a central position for ease of transportation and a daily walk by the river Rhone was an added bonus . Lots of places to eat and walking distance to the Place Bellcour a massive open space surrounded by local shops and the Metro for rides to other areas in Lyon. This is a really nice hotel.

The hotel was very conveniently located and had a great river view. The rooms are large and there was a good selection of channels for the English speaking clientele. The only complaint I have is that the bed was so hard that I had to ask for an extra duvet to sleep on and it was still really hard even with that padding.

We would definitely return. Availability of casual food is restricted to later evenings in the week but local restaurants provide other good options. The parking and grounds are perfect.

Pros: prime location, great staff. Quiet room, perfect breakfast. Cons: old mattress with pits and uneven surface. Couldn't close windows due to old latches. Bathtub/shower is too tiny to comfortably take a shower. Drain is clogged. Difficult to wash without water flowing all around.

Room service breakfast expensive (28E) but very complete and perfectly on time. Staff was always friendly and attentive. Location conveniently central. Eating in area was largely fast-food of low quality. Bicycles and trotinettes made walking frequently unnerving.
