Room was clean, but had mildew smell coming from the hvac vent

We chose this hotel based on the large pool, pool deck with many chairs/umbrellas, and water slide for our two kids. During our planned “pool day”—the last day of our stay— the hotel rented out the pool deck to a private party starting at 2pm and extending to past 10pm. We were not notified about this ahead of time. There was supposed to be an outdoor kids movie by the pool that evening that our kids were looking forward to and that too was abruptly canceled to accommodate the private party. We were upset that as paying guests, we were not allowed to use the amenities so that the hotel could make more money on hosting an event. During the event, many of the guests were trying to use the one hot tub available and 1) there wasn’t enough water in it to be used 2) when they finally refilled the water security was called bc there were more than 7 kids in the hot tub at once. Another thing that the hotel “resort fee” pays for is the in-room coffee. There was a Keurig available and a few coffee pods. However, the water in the room has a very intense sulfur smell which is unappealing even when showering and would not be pleasant to use to make coffee. If you want to use the bottled water provided in the room, you’ll be charged an extra fee of $7 per bottle. Drinkable water should be included in the “resort fee”. Another item the “resort fee” pays for is a shuttle service to Disney properties. The shuttles were always full and didn’t arrive at Disney on time for opening at 8am.

Honestly this hotel far exceeded my expectations. Maybe because it’s on Disney property I was a little hesitant- but this is an amazingly well managed hotel. The most basic of hotel rooms here are so

Didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast Val took more than 30 minutes to fetch vehicles. Staff was not friendly atmosphere was loud at all hours of the day. The temperature outside was cold. Didn’t get a chance to go to the pool.

Room was great. Comfortable bed, very clean and well lit bathroom. Location was solid. Staff very courteous. The restaurant is off the chain good. It’s a very popular destination for those not staying at the hotel, so definitely want to reserve table. We got lucky and snagged a few bar seats, but…. The food is outstanding. Will definitely refer and return. Thank you!!
