Ryukyu Islands Beach Vacations

It sits right on the beautiful beach. We enjoyed dining outside and gazing out over the white sands and blue waters. We could walk right out to the pool area, and from the pool to the beach. Kumejima is gorgeous and interesting, and we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Pros: rooms are great (we stayed in the condo) - huge apartment, washing machine, small equipped kitchen. No complaints about the room at all! Lunch options: decent takeaway at the deli! Reasonably priced and tasty! Cons: - Pools: there are only 2 at the property. Pools are great, but honestly quite small for the number of guests at the resort. There were a lot of screaming and splashing children, which is fine, just would have been great to have an adults only pool option. - Beach: the beach is shocking to get to. I thought other reviews seemed dramatic, but it is over a busy road, the path is super unclear and the ‘beach house’ was almost impossible to find. Honestly not sure how people headed across with small children! - Restaurant: the BBQ restaurant in the hotel was pretty bad. Food was poor quality, mountains of dirty dishes were everywhere. Nowhere near good enough at a 5-star hotel and given the price point!

This property was amazing! We got the view side & I’m so happy we did. Saw the sunset every evening, woke up to an amazing view of the pool & the beach! There’s a great system to checking in & the property is just beautiful all around! The only possible down side was the parking, it’s quite a distance & there was a storm warning so I was thinking how much I would have to walk in the rain to get to the hotel lobby from where we parked.

Excellent for family trip

Clean room, but in need of updating. We were disappointed that with so much beach available, there were many restrictions on snorkeling & swimming to one very small area. All other areas were closed.

This property was amazing! We got the view side & I’m so happy we did. Saw the sunset every evening, woke up to an amazing view of the pool & the beach! The living area was spacious and well suited; however, the noise at night with motorcycles was insanely loud and lasted well into the early morning hours, making it tough to sleep. Also, there is a coffee maker, but you are only supplied with one pod and no refills until cleaning day, which is once a week. We searched in multiple stores to find the brand and restock with no success.
