I stayed in both the hotel and the suites. The good - good breakfast selection, the hotel was very clean and well maintained though a bit dated in parts and very quiet in common areas with the main floor bar unfortunately closed. It is quite a great building but out from main shopping areas. Staff very helpful. The apartment suites very, very dated and dirty surrounds eg weeds growing on balcony, bathroom and decor dated, pillows need replacing and supplies limited - no dishwashing liquid or tea towel provided. Bath towels in the apartment were the size of large tea towels- seriously!! On the plus early check in and washer dryer excellent - we shifted to the suites for one night to spread out and do our laundry before continuing our travel. Glad it wasn’t more than a night. TVs in both facilities were not smart TVs making it difficult for foreign speaking channel selections. Convenient for airport if coming by car.

I highly recommend Caelum Black Gangnam, it was such an easy location between two subway stations, eateries and coffee shops close by but most of all, the communication and hospitality of the management team was exceptional. There was a little mishap with parking, but Seri, the property manager went above and beyond to make things right. Also overall communication with any questions and requests were prompt. I will definitely return to Korea and Caelum Black for sure!

Great pool

I was very happy to see that I could check in several hours earlier when I arrived. Was also given an hour later check out. Chose this hotel as it is near the airport did not expect all the wonderful restaurants, amenities of hotel and seaside restaurants. The room opened very nicely for a view of the ocean. When I arrive, the room was quite warm and I was told there’s no air conditioning at this time of the season to open my window and let the wind come in. it’s certainly helped. Night for sleeping with window open was very comfortable. I recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a beach experience in 20 minute ride to the terminal two airport. Receptionist was very kind accommodating spoke English very well.

Great location! The hotel is old. Really surprised to see that a bunch of garbage stuff has been piled inside the main entrance.

Everything about this hotel was top notch. Facilities and room was spotless and the staff was very kind and helpful. The location was fantastic with subway access across the street, We will stay here again.

The staff were all very friendly, kind, and helpful throughout my stay. The hotel itself is relatively old, especially the plumbing. My room was small, but it was a comfortable size for one person. I really appreciated having both a washer & dryer in the room, which made doing laundry convenient. The hotel also has a dedicated laundry floor if needed. There is a gym with a good selection of equipment and a decent amount of space. However, when I visited in June 2026, the A/C wasn't working, so it became quite hot inside. They had a door propped open to improve airflow, but it was still warm. One thing to note is that my hotel bathroom has a notice asking guests not to flush toilet paper, sanitary products, or any foreign objects because the older plumbing can clog easily. If you're from a Western country, disposing of used toilet paper in the provided trash bin instead of flushing it may feel unusual or unsanitary. The bathroom trash can is pretty small, so I had daily housekeeping to empty it, which helped. The bidet in my bathroom wasn't working, and neither was the electrical outlet in the bathroom. Overall, I think the hotel offers reasonable value for the price. However, there are several nearby hotels that cost only slightly more and may provide larger rooms, newer facilities, and plumbing that allows toilet paper which may be preferable if that's what you're accustomed to.

The room was clean and neat
