Really loved this place, bit secluded but not too distant from Amanohashidate and Ine. Rooms are comfy and spacious, there's free bike rental (incl e-bikes), great views etc.
Everything is top quality: service, staff's attitude, restaurant, cleanliness, free shuttle from/to the station. They pay attention to every detail and every your request.
They have prepared outstanding vegan meal upon my request. Highly recommend to people with food restrictions.
Also, there is a garden and various activities that you can enjoy with kids too.
If you want to take a step off the beaten track in Japan this is a very good option. The hotel is situated in a very good place to explore the Kyoto on Sea area (this is not Kyoto city).
The Hotel will send a minibus at certain times of day to pick new visitors up from the railway station. The hotels offers visitors free bike hire for 4 hours and is relatively close to the bus route for exploring other parts of the area.
As this is not a city you are limited in the immediate area for places to eat out.
