Yakushima Lighthouse

I can't say enough how helpful and kind the hotel staff was. Our room was in need of updating however everything was very clean.

The owner, Ryosaku Nakashima, is so nice and welcoming. And his English is very good. It was raining when we arrived so he let us have our room even though it was before checking time. The room was spacious and clean. We appreciated the “shoe dryer”, or whatever it is called; very well thought on this humid island. The laundry is very convenient. All the houses look very nice. The owner did a very good job. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful property. Breakfast and dinner buffets were gourmet and luxurious. Large, airy rooms and beautiful views of the southern part of Yakushima. Onsen facility was very nice as well.
