"Breakfast at the Bella Vista is definite a highlight of the day. Captain of the Restaurant is a phenomenal woman named Jazmin Sous who runs an incredible team of servers and I’ll just name a few Luis Angel, Martin, Adolfo Armando, Clara, Ricardo, Ismael, Yasmin, Lilliana, Cesar and Baltasar. Their whole mission is to make your vacation as wonderful as they possibly can and it’s an incredible way to start the day and then it’s off to the beach where you run into another incredible group of servers that are there to elevate your beach day. Alberto runs a team including Margarito, Xavier,Sergio, David, Jose Juan, Edwin, Emanuel, Ivan, and Nefali and they are at your service the entire day. The rooms are clean, crisp with gorgeous views. The hotel lobby is beautiful. My husband and I have been going here for many many years and the beauty of the hotel and the kindness of the staff is what brings us back every year."

"Check in was nice and quick. Raul at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Gave me all the information and told me about restaurants and places to see. The hotel staff was very quiet and stealth when performing their chores. And also friendly with greetings. The room was nice and clean. The bed was a bit hard but nice enough to sleep in. There was a small fridge to keep a few beverages in. They serve breakfast for a price but we opted out because we wanted to try places outside of the hotel. There was also a nice balcony with a couple of chairs and a hammock which we used a lot. The bathroom was nice and clean and there were plenty of towels. The vanity area was large. The pool was small but nice and comfortable for a swim. There were hardly any people around so we enjoy it. There are also 3 resident iguanas in the area but they are harmless and you hardly see them. Overall our stay was great and we will definitely be back for another nice holiday. Highly recommend Ensueno de fuga for a nice relaxing stay. "

"We spent seven full nights at Portofino and it was truly serene. Three things stood out: 1) The staff. Our servers E and A were truly amazing. Sometimes there was a language barrier, but it was more entertaining than a negative. As a US resident visiting a foreign country I don't expect our hosts to automatically speak english and it was actually more authentic to wade through some back and forth. And it wasn't a distraction at all we enjoyed the conversation. They were always checking on us. 2) The view. We saw seven sunsets, all equally brilliant, and all different but the same at the same time. It became the highlight of every day. 3) If you want relaxation, this is it. You move on your own time. If you want to visit local areas, there is a convenient bus that rolls through and can take you to the airport or towards Barra de Potosi. Taxis and rental cars work as well and you can park there for free. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with sitting by the pool or exploring the beach all day long. We would go back 100%."
