"This was a very unique hotel. It’s not exactly a hotel though. It was a self check-in and no one was at the front desk. The room was great, I thought. And we booked one with the little outdoor Japanese style bath. It’s within walking distance of a lot of things, including the night market and a really nice Japanese neighborhood. The air-conditioning worked great! It was just a little awkward at the beginning because of the check-in process. "

"Wonderful stay. Clean and quiet. 8 mins drive to the Taitung train station. Walking distance to the weekend night market. Most importantly, the staff are super helpful and kind, going all out to assist us in renting of a motorcycle, or giving us directions. We really feel very comfortable staying here. "

"We rented scooters and parking is right at the doorstep. The area is really convenient with lots of dining, shopping and massage options within walking distance. It’s a self-service hotel and we ran into some difficulties during check-in. Thankfully, a sister hotel is just a block down and a staff came over to help after we gave them a ring. The room was nicely laid out, but there were some issues (although none was a deal breaker) - the corners of the upper bunk bed was slight dusty (a common problem for hotels with bunk beds, I’ve experience it even in Japan and Switzerland), the shower foam dispenser came loose. "
