"The hotel was further from Lyndhurst than I expected and although that wasn't an issue, it was further than I anticipated. This for us was the only downside to the stay. The room was cosy and comfortable and somewhat quirky. We loved its uniqueness. The hotel restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed our dinner there on our overnight stay. We would definitely stay again as it was convenient for a stop over before embarking on a cruise the following day from Southampton."

"The property was kept warm at all times and a good breakfast choice was offered. There was a good choice of evening meals. The only criticism was the noise of doors banging which caused the fabric of the building to shake. On a positive note the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The bedroom was always kept clean and the bed was comfortable. The car park was good and there were ample spaces. I would certainly visit again."

"Good stay, room was nice and the sea view was lovely at sunset. £20 to park for one night and £5 room service delivery charge was a shame. Unsure where it was coming from (sounded nearby) but from 4:30pm - 2:30am there was thumping music. Staff were lovely, bar area is nicely done."
