"For the value this is a clean place to stay. The pros are that it was clean, and pet friendly. The cons: I walked in, and the smell of fabuloso about knocked me over. I had to clean that up with some natural cleaners I had, and air it out for hours on I even be able to breathe. If you’re sensitive to toxins, just a warning. For such a beautiful place in the mountains, and nature, I would have hoped for a scent free environment free of parabens. Plug on the tub was broken, so water wouldn’t stay in. Also, the dead bolt had been removed, that kind of freaked me out as a solo traveler. The property was pretty run down, but it looked like it was for sale, so I guess that’s why there was no staff in the main building. There is a phone number in case you have questions, but other than that no one on the premises. There was what looked like an apartment upstairs, and it sounded like someone was nailing art to the walls or remodeling literally until 2-3 am. I didn’t sleep very well, but again, for the money, if you need a place to crash, and you’re not picky, this will do. Would have been 5 stars all around with these things fixed. Maybe next time! "

"This was our second week-long stay at the cabin and it was even better than our first stay which is saying a lot. The kitchen was sparkling clean and it is such a pretty setting right on the river. We slept with the windows open and listened to the river and heard owls and the geese. As the snow wasn’t great for skiing my husband only skied three days. The last two days we went into Creede annd South Clear Creek Falls and the final day we spent going to Treasure Falls. We sat on the porch and down beside the river every day. Great star gazing as well. We are already looking for future dates."

"Two families were able to enjoy this house and each other for a week in this home. There were 10 adults and 2 teens and plenty of space for everyone.The view if the mountains and access to the Rio Grande made this the best place we’ve stayed while in South Fork. We especially enjoyed the large family and kitchen area for our group, and the kids took advantage of the game room and games. The kitchen was well equipped for our family needs. We made all of our meals in the house. There was plenty of room for parking, and checking in and out were easy! We will definitely try to book this place again! "
