"This place is beautiful! If I could give it a 15/10 I would. Beautifully kept historic site. We stayed in the Robert E. Lee room. Very spacious and comfortable. Modern yet historic. Every amenity we could think of. There is no fridge in the room, we'll, not the room we were in, but we had a cooler and grabbed a bag of ice at the local gas station and the problem was solved. The staff has taken care of everything and are dedicated to taking care of their guests. From the tour of the Inn and grounds upon arrival to the scrumptious breakfast, they are definitely ready and willing to serve their guests! The room had every amenity from bathrobes and slippers to salt scrubs and lavender linen spray for the pillow. ♥️. The boat house provided kayaks for some brief entertainment plus a cozy spot for watching an early sunrise or evening sunset. Patio offered semi-private lounging with firepits. Antique board games donned the tables in the parlor for guests to use. Everything was perfect. Definitely worth the drive for us and a lovely weekend getaway."

"The property is charming and quiet. Last minute reservation and the owner was great with our request. Would definitely recommend this to others that want to stay and relax for the weekend. The only thing that is concerning is that the neighbors down the way let their dogs run around not on leashes, so if you are walking your dogs be advised that their are 2 German shepards that run around not on leashes . But other than that is was a great house for a great price and very relaxing"

"We stayed from Friday to Monday. We did not have any service to the room. We asked a lady that was cleaning other rooms for more coffee and shampoo (empty container at the shower) amd she said it was not her room in her list. So, no towels, shampoo or coffee. Very disappointing. Other than that, it is a OK hotel."

"Great place to relax and enjoy a quiet setting which is still close to Yorktown and Williamsburg. Pet friendly with room to walk. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and all appliances. Catesby was a wonderful host and always reachable by phone. Nice porch and outdoor fire pit which would have been used more except that it was August."

"All and all it was a great girls weekend. The place was really cute and the view was spectacular. We loved the hot tub and ammenties, however there are a few things that could be improved upon.Upon arriving, the chemical smell from whatever cleaner was used was overwhelming. There are no screens in the doors or windows so we couldn't open doors or windows to air it out. With that being said we did arrive about 2 hours early so maybe the smell would have dissipated by 4.The amenities were great however to start a fire we needed to buy lighter fluid because there was a drop left, to use the hot tub which per the instructions required adding bleach, there was only a drop of that left. We were 4 girls and by the second day we had to buy more toilet paper, because there were only 3 partial or small rolls. We had to buy paper towels. We used the last dishwasher pod and the last trash bag. Lucky I have walmart plus and they delivered. For the price we feel like those essentials should have been stocked. Some of the instructions could have been more clear. There were not clear instructions how to get into the pool. We didnt know we needed a key, where the key was. Then the key was not where is was suposed to be after we asked. The pool gate was another challenge. The lock is hidden under the top part of the gate, it took us 10 minutes to find the lock. The pool was fantastic though when we did get in"

"There are no words to describe how perfect our stay was hosts, property and location. We are truly grateful for everything,it was by all means life changing. Would 100% recommend this place for anyone wanting a perfect getaway and we will definitely return ."
