Place was pristine, great location on the lake. Beautiful scenery with the mountains, used the kayaks to get around the lake and catch some fish! My son and i caught pickerel, perch, bass, crappies, and pumkinseeds. Quick drive from Boston @ a little over a hour.
My niece and her family stayed here while visiting from the south, and very much enjoyed this home and the area. It was her husband‘s first time to New England, and having the view of the water with the fall color was perfect for his first experience here. They didn’t get to spend a lot of time at the house itself as they were visiting family in the area, but they were happy to have a cozy spot to go back to at the end of their busy days!
We were looking for somewhere to stay that was close to Mount Wachusett. The cottage was very clean, cozy, and had many amenities including a fully stocked kitchen and an electric fireplace . Though we were for skiing there during the wintertime, the cottage is on a lake and kayaking is also an option during the summer. The hosts were quickly available to us with any questions. There is even a complimentary bottle of wine to enjoy!
Tyler was such a big help during our stay and answered every message and call. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the living room area. All instructions were very clear and understandable. Animals are allowed which we understood, but we do wish the cleaner was able to get more of the dog hair off of the furniture and floor. We will definitely be looking at this property again when we come back next year.

Tiny house on charming lake
This is a tiny house on a tiny lot. The large waterfront deck with table and chairs and grill is very nice as is the view. The galley kitchen is well equipped, and living room space has a charming electric fireplace. The downsides are that the upstairs rooms are really only suited for children as ceilings are extremely low and sloped. The bare bones alcove with the double bed in it is impossible for an adult to stand in. You basically have to crawl into the bed. The one bathroom in the house is only accessible through the "master bedroom". As for inside eating, there is a card table sized table with two folding chairs, and two stools at a counter attached to a wall. The description of the inside is a bit oversold.
Nice place. Very Clean. Quiet. Owner was proactive about checking in on us and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again when in the area, but the bathroom is small and ceiling on upper floor is sloped and low. A very big and tall person might feel a little crunched.
My wife and I arrived at the property and got in easily. We were apparently supposed to receive a “guide” with information about the Wi-Fi, check-out process, etc. but never did. I called the owner who was helpful and sent it to me right away.
The property was very small, which was expected. I’m 5’10” and almost couldn’t stand up straight in the loft. The beds were as described, but pretty uncomfortable. The sofa bed is completely unusable because of the springs. As we were setting the beds up, a dirty sock came out of the trundle bed which is pretty gross. There were fruit flies inside the house when we got there and there were loads of mosquitos outside. We were under the impression that the property was treated for insects according to the posting. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and dead flies around the window frames. Everything else was reasonably clean.
All in all, everything just felt very cheap. The grill couldn’t even grill a couple of steaks and it was dirty with no cover. There wasn’t even a grill brush to clean it. There isn’t a doormat to wipe your feet as you come into the house. There aren’t any hooks to hang up towels or bathing suits and there aren’t any dressers or storage furniture.
The area is very nice, however. I think for a (short) couple, this is a decent place to stay for a night or two, but for us, the weather ended up sucking so we left early. It just wasn’t a comfortable getaway as we were expecting.
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this place. The space was exceptionally clean when we arrived. The location on the water is something special. We would definitely stay here again!
The house was super clean and modern. It had all the kitchen items you could possibly need. I appreciated having several floor fans there. The view of the lake was beautiful and relaxing. Great place to stay!
