We love the location and the lay out, and were happy with the no-fuss self check in. They advertised that breakfast was included and we were a little put off to have plastic wrapped donut, bagel & muffin and then found an asparagas piece of quich for each in the fridge which was meh Maybe have choices on the reservation form.

Lovely stay. The owner was very personable and helpful. The room had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. The inn is also close to Kripalu, the Norman Rockwell museum, and the botanical gardens. The area is absolutely beautiful to drive through and explore. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect getaway

Went away for the weekend to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday. This was a perfect spot to relax and not have the feel of a big hotel.

They thought of every need a guest might have! They are dog friendly and gave us treats, bowls, and more. Every morning there’s a variety of delicious breakfast choices in the fridge and a basket. Lovely stay

This is a lovely place to say. Very warm and welcoming. The staff was very helpful and even brought a little doggy basket for my dog. It included a blanket, dog bowls treats and more!! Had a very very nice time.

Very nice place. Clean and extreme attention to detail which is unusual in a place like this. Will definitely come back. We don't come to the Berkshires to watch TV but we did want to watch the college football game late Sat night. The TV in the room is very small but adequate.

This is an extremely well run inn. We especially appreciated all the extra touches: kitchenette; breakfast placed in refrigerator the night before with microwave/toaster oven to warm it the next morning; bathrobes; safety handles on shower and gas fireplace for instant warmth (supplementing a good HVAC system). W. Stockbridge, though lesser known among south country communities, has some gems: fabulous bookstore, exceptional coffee house, sculpture garden, solid Italian restaurant less than a block form the inn and a general store with excellent sandwiches.

We felt like the place was all our own. From the en suite breakfast to our private deck, we felt right at home immediately and had a lovely weekend stay. The surrounding mountains and quaint New England mill town were off-the-charts charming. Our inn keepers were just a phone call away when we had a request. Everything was immaculately clean and extremely well maintained (I'm a handyman at heart). I can't wait for you to stay here- it's minutes away from Stockbridge, Lennox, Great Barrington and even a nice drive to Greylock and beyond. Such a beautiful part of Massachusetts. Be sure to stay here!

The staff was so inviting and friendly, like old friends. The room was extremely spacious and clean. The in room breakfast was amazing with fresh oj. And milk in the fridge, and fresh ground coffee waiting on the counter. Pastries and fixin's waiting to be brought out of our slider doors onto our own patio with table and chairs. Peace, quiet and fresh air surrounded us outside, while the quaint fireplace took the morning chill out of the room inside. This was my first stay here and i will definitely be coming back. It was very convenient to the town center, where main street shopping at the general store and old records shop was a morning highlight. Thanks Shaker inn, see you soon.

The property is beautiful. The inside is more like a hotel than B& B. John was very friendly and helpful. The price I paid is not what was invoiced. I believe I am owed approximately $100. The price on my credit card was $662.69. The price on my paid invoice was $578.00. What shall I do?

I cannot believe that this Inn was listed as 2 stars! The owner's attention to detail and care to make sure that we had everything we needed (AND MORE!) was exemplary! There were directions in every place in the room and bathroom which indicated exactly how to operate everything. There was a binder that explained all of the details of both the property AND the surrounding area, (INCLUDING phone numbers and addresses). THe owner met us at the office and made us feel at home right away. I LOVED the historic area AND property. This was an old Milltown and the building was beautifully renovated! All of the upgrades for heating, air conditioning, appliances in the kitchenette, and bathroom accessories were a welcome site for a historic building! There was even a gas fireplace available in the main room! I highly recommend this Inn. We were extremely pleased with the service and amenities!

We stayed 3 nights. Quiet, unique Inn with three levels in a New England heritage-style building. One thing... if you can't climb stairs, check first to see if your room is on the first floor. We loved this place and highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my stay in The Clark Suite. Very easy check in and helpful staff. West Stockbridge is a quaint town, easy to walk about and wonderful dinner/ice cream options. The Shaker Inn provided Gluten Free options for breakfast including fresh oj, fruit and great coffee. The room/bathroom were immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
