Terrible
The only requirement I have for a hotel was a clean bed..... or so I thought. The toilet doesn't flush, which is the least of the problems. The windows don't close completely and leaves a 1" gap so the dust/smells/deafening noise is in your face all day and night. A rooster wakes you up every morning at 5:00 am. When I asked the concierge how to get to the bus station, they don't know??? The airport, they also don't know??? The train station, they don't know??? All their answers were get a taxi (which was very expensive and gouged tourists, except for 1 cab driver). Everybody in the hotel smokes and spits. I am Chinese myself and accustomed to some smoking and spitting and blowing the nose on the ground, but even for me it was extreme. I love a free breakfast like any red blooded Chinese, but theentire room was a cloud of smoke, and other guests spit on the floor and into the plants ALL THE TIME next to me while I was eating. All day people are smoking in the halls, elevator, lobby, bedrooms, washroom, etc. My hair smelled of smoke every day, it was gagging. Other guests open the door to the hallway to let the smoke out of their rooms so it wafts into other rooms. It was so strong that even with the door closed the cloud of smoke was noticeably thick in our room. People yelled, and played card until 3:00am every day. Forget taking a comfortable shower to wash the stench away, because it was covered in black mold.
