Originally an elegant gatehouse to impressive Holkham Hall, the romantic, one-bedroom abode now offers sumptuous, stylish accommodation for a couple eager to escape on a romantic break. Providing beautiful views across the immaculate, parkland grounds, the eye-catching, dog-friendly holiday home includes features such as a stone, spiral staircase, an open fire and a lawned garden, ensuring you and your loved one experience a North Norfolk stay to remember.
Enter to pull off your walking boots before making a cup of tea to enjoy with one of the local treats in your welcome hamper. Prepare meals in the kitchen/diner too when you choose to eat in rather than at a nearby pub or restaurant. There is also a WC downstairs. Follow the steep, narrow, spiral staircase up to the shower room and another WC, and then on up to the open-plan lounge/bedroom. On autumn and winter days you can settle down in front of a good film on TV; soak in hot bubbles in the freestanding bath before spending the night in the beautiful, four-poster king-size bed. Wake up to glorious views out across the parkland from your position at the top of the arched gatehouse. Have coffee out in your private garden in the morning or a glass of fizz as the sun sets.
Enjoy a 3.5-mile walk through the picturesque parkland to the wide, open expanse of Holkham Beach. Visit the hall too while you are here and hire bikes to follow other routes. The Georgian village of Burnham Market, with its independent shops and eateries centred around an elegant green is just 3 miles from your impressive holiday home.
