Great location away from the hustle and bustle of Lulworth Cove, but only a few minutes drive to it. Peaceful, comfortable and a great host (Rod). Been a couple of times this year and will visit again next year, now we have found this gem.

After an initial mix up with the rooms, all was sorted and the set up was perfect for us as a family. A quiet heaven from which we walked to Durdle Door and back. A gem amongst the overcrowding.

Good place to stay, but a bit hard to find and no obvious signs out the front, no light on at night as the owner was out. Owner very helpful though and the room was comfortable and clean. Would stay there again, especially now I know where it is.

Comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was fine (we did not choose the cooked option). Shower towels could be larger. Television was not working in our room (although Rob did say he was in the process of getting it sorted), and the wifi was patchy. Rob is a very pleasant host who welcomed us into his home and regaled us with stories about the area. Very peaceful location.

This property is unique and rare - owned by an innkeeper who welcomes you to his table with warm hospitality and decades of history to share. Mr. Miller is a wealth of information and retired thatcher. This is not a place for you if you need a well-appointed hotel to feel good about leaving your home. This is a historic property with purbeck flag stones and Welsh slate on the kitchen floor. The stove is as wide as your arms. There are wild pheasants in the fields and silent nights nestled in a hidden valley a bit off the main road. This a place where ruins of the past sit on the land beside a welcoming farmhouse. Great for introverts, writers, couples, families, and solo travelers. Backpackers will love it.

Lovely stay with Rod who was totally helpful and very friendly and kind. Kids lives the chickens and Rod even let my daughter collect her own egg for breakfast. Beds were lovely and comfortable with a good selection of pillows and the breakfast was perfect. Very close to durdle door beach and lots of coves. We will be back. A great stay thank you rod for making us so welcome. Corinna x

Rod was a great host. The location of this B&B was excellent for our needs and I loved being among farmland. We can see and hear the sheep graze beside us. I'd stay here again if I travelled back to the area. My only challenge was that there is no air conditioning, nor did we have any fans to help us keep cool during a heat wave. It was difficult to get any sleep due to the temperature. These old houses are not built to ventilate so even if it gets cool at night, the room stayed hot.

Lovely peaceful farmhouse

Such a great farmhouse. Stayed for two nights for a friend's wedding nearby. Having breakfast cooked for us each morning was really lovely. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
