The Beach House at Tillicum is a contemporary ocean front home; its layout and location is perfect for your vacation experience. The western facing windows provide breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean--less than 100 feet away. It is the perfect place to relax, to romance, and to reinvigorate!

Relax in the spacious outdoor hot tub just steps off the wrap-around deck, while listening to the mighty surf and watching the distant fishing boats. Follow our private trail to the sands for beachcombing, kite-flying, refreshing runs or romantic strolls on endless miles of lightly populated public beaches.

Many spectacular features await you at the Tillicum House beach. The mouth of Big Creek--just steps from the back yard--changes orientation almost daily, thus altering the look and feel of the beach. For over 40 years, visitors to the beach have carved their names into a gigantic tree that washed ashore during the Great Alaska Earthquake of 1964. Playful seals like to pop their heads up in the nearby waves and follow along as you hike on the beach. Some of the best whale watching in Oregon can also be found at nearby Cape Perpetua.

Waldport beach house

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this rental. The beach access was the best we have had after many trips to the Central Oregon Coast. Long beautiful beach. The house had everything we needed, including the hot tub. The rental company was quick to respond to questions and very helpful. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Great spot

This is our second stay in three years and we really enjoy the property. The two bedrooms with separate bathrooms worked out well. The beach is right out the back door. A great beach for long walks. Very convenient to shopping, groceries and dining. Beware, the local grocery store in Waldport is very expensive. They want $3.89 for a bell pepper. Much better shopping at the Fred Meyers in Newport. Looking forward to next year.

Perfect

This is a two bedroom home with a small kitchen and great access to a huge beach. The only downside which is a small downside is there were stickers in the backyard on the way to the path to the beach. So we had to carry our dog from the deck to the path. Luckily, our Dad dog is 16 pounds. That truly is a small price to pay for such a nice proximity to the beach.

Cute cottage on the beach

We loved the location of the house and its easy access to the beach. There were plenty of blankets, pillows and towels. The hot tub was clean and hot. My daughters and I enjoyed it every day. The location was fairly close to Waldport so it was a quick jaunt into town for groceries or eating out. Our only complaint about the place is the hedge on the back porch was so high we could not see the ocean when we were sitting on the back deck. If it had been trimmed down below the railing height the view would have been phenomenal. We'd certainly stay here again but would check to make sure the hedge has been trimmed first.

Quiet Getaway

We stayed here for 4 nights celebrating our 50th Anniversary. The house was comfortable but could really use some updating and maintenance. The grill was in horrible condition so we didn't even bother using it. The view from the windows and deck is amazing and you can hear the ocean from the house. Short private trail to the beach but a little walk to the water. We saw at least 15 whales go by from the living room window on the evening of our anniversary. Pretty much had the beach to ourselves. Great Mexican food at Azuls and delicious Blackberry Daiquiris. Property manager was very helpful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this place for a few reasons. It was very clean and was stocked better than most places we stayed. Not because it had so much stuff, but because it had fewer things but they covered a wide range of needs and were organized so well. Most places have doubles and triples of things you don’t need and you have to look through every drawer to find what you do need. The path to the beach was well maintained and safe. The beds actually had very good mattresses. If you cracked a window the oceans roar was wonderful. The living room furniture was comfortable enough but in need of cleaning. There is no fireplace which for me is disappointing and the property sits on Highway 101 so you can hear traffic. It has a lovely deck, good barbecue. Kitchen appliances need updating. We’re going back this summer, so I guess that’s the biggest positive. And Ocean Odyssey is one of the best coastal agencies we’ve ever dealt with.

Perfect Oceanside Getaway

This is our second time staying at this oceanside home. The location is perfect for us—steps away from a quiet beach, yet a few minutes easy drive to the Green Salmon coffee/tea house and many other restaurants, stores and shops, not to mention all the trails and parks to explore. With 2 bedrooms, both with adjoining bathrooms, we were more than comfortable after an evening of stargazing from the hot tub. We look forward to our next visit!

We loved being on the beach and the various things to do within an hours up and down the coast. The Kitchen could use more silverware and some decent new pans,but that was our only complaint.

The location is perfect and the beach access was wonderful and easy for seniors to use. The kitchen pots and pans could use replacing but we managed just fine. The things that were less pleasant were not forseeable and certainly not controllable by the management. The home next door is also a rental and shares the entrance from the highway. The guests there could have been a bit quieter but it didn’t ruin our stay. The home to the left is having work done and again, distracting, but won’t ruin the experience. This is a lovely, pet friendly home, very, very comfortable. The decks are perfect for enjoying the sunrise with a cup of tea or coffee and the beach area is breathtaking.
