"First location. For me the location is perfect. Small side street that is so quiet, you can't believe you are in a city. Close to temples, shopping and restaurants that are literally one minute away. When you get the code and enter the building it has this quirky charm that makes it so appealing. The room/unit was huge, at least he one that I stayed in. Beautiful wood and tatami matted rooms, full kitchen, separate bathroom and shower. Great futons to sleep on. A true Japanese experience. "This is a small but efficient walk-up apartment that worked for us. We needed a place to crash after spending our days walking the city. The accommodations are primitive by US standards (e.g., front stairs steep and unforgiving, bed mattresses thin, ceiling low), but were centrally located and really perfect for us. Thank you."

"Inside the property is nice, but the location is really bad, it is on a street where you see girls selling "services" and have also the guys that represent those services. I wasn't felling as safe as other places in Japan at night."
