This property is NOT a 4 star or higher property. They do not provide the level of service of a 4 or 5 star resort. I booked an ocean view suite. They gave me a suite on the third floor that FACES the POOL and GARDEN AREA, you could see some of the ocean through the palm trees. If you were on the uppermost level(s) you might have a view of the ocean. The suite was also accessible for handicapped visitors! That means that bars are all over the bathroom, counters and other things are lowered, AND THERE ARE LIGHTS GOING OFF 24/7 IN THE BEDROOM. The desk staff insisted they did not have the authority to make a room change and would have the resort manager contact me THE NEXT MORNING. I checked in on Sunday night, received a call from the reservationist on Monday afternoon informing me that no room changes could be made until Wednesday (I was leaving on Friday). The Ocean Club property manager left one voicemail message on the hotel room phone on TUESDAY stating that he was told that I would like to speak with him about the room. That's it -- he didn't even bother to speak on what my issue was exactly. He offered no resolutions, he didn't even say to call him back! He didn't leave a number, he didn't visit the suite! It was the most blaring example of CUSTOMER-NO SERVICE I have ever experienced.
I stayed at this Marriott (hotel) for may honeymoon a few years ago, and have recommended it to many people since. I will not return and will be sure to tell of this experience.
