This New Construction Home has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms to host a maximum of 10 guests. Only 5 minutes to downtown Waco and walking distance to Cameron Park Zoo. Come Relax and have a Staycation with a Sauna, Hot Tub, Fire pit, and Game room. A fully stocked kitchen and an outdoor gas grill to cook and enjoy our Texas weather. We have something for everyone here at the 5th St Retreat!

  • The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas is a terrific zoo! The zoo has a great range of animals and exhibits and the grounds are well kept and spacious. There's lots of shade to keep you somewhat cool during those hot Texan summer months if you visit during that time frame. The animal enclosures are nice, and can really give you great views of the animals themselves if you are a bit patient. This also makes for great photo views, as shown here with this photo of an approaching jaguar. Food and snack prices are also very reasonable, as are prices for souvenirs. This zoo makes for a great day out for the family.

GREAT STAY FOR THE FAMILY

Had a family reunion and had several groups of family members needing a place to stay. Why not get a place we can have a little fun as well - game room and hottub and sauna were it! Only a weekend jaunt but works perfectly. Loved it and hope get to use it again in the future. Be good in the winter too. Thanks for the memories.

Comfy and Cozy

I booked this house for a girls trip, it was clean and well maintained. We did attempt to use the sauna but after a few hours gave up, it may have needed to be on for the day to really get up to temperature. The location was great, very convenient, close to town and all the hot spots. The parking is not ideal for several vehicles (we had 7). We were able to get into the drive way single file but it was tight for suvs and trucks.

Relaxing

We weren't in the property much other than breakfast and sleeping but we loved taking good use of the sauna. The stairs were a hazard to our kids, just really slippery so we had a few falls and hurt shins on them. It's also really creaky, so we definitely had to have quiet hours in the house while the kiddos slept. Otherwise, loved the communication with the host, she was quick to respond and very helpful. Also, loved the backyard/game room for the kids to run around and play while we got breakfast done and ready for the day. The location was great as well, very close to everything we were doing

Beautiful home

Home is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and conveniently located. We stayed here while attending Baylor’s orientation. Convenient location to restaurants and zoo around the corner. While we were at orientation, the boys grabbed lunch and went to the zoo. Beware, there are mosquito as can be expected so close to the river, but was a great home with a comfortable stay!

Anniversary GetAway

The home was wonderful. Plenty of space for a bigger group. And minutes away from stores, restaurants and downtown. When we arrived pulling into the driveway was a little rough on the car due to dip and wooden planks being the first and last thing your tires touch. If in the future you are able to invest in making the driveway overall better that’d be a plus. Inside the home everything looked just as pictured. The mattress in the master room was super comfortable. Home stayed nice and cool throughout the evening. The outside area was where we spent most our time. The jacuzzi was phenomenal. (Love that pool towels are provided) The sauna was a nice experience. We even used the fire pit on our last night before heading home. There was a moment while watching tv that the internet went out. But when i reached out to the host she reset it right away. Host was wonderful. Checked in on us upon arrival. And sent checkout reminders evening before. Overall an amazing stay and just what we were looking for. Definitely will be returning to Waco to try more of the touristy places. And will definitely stay here again.
