Hôtel traditionnel, un peu désuet, rafraichissant entre deux logements standards de chaîne (Ibis...) ! Vue sur l'Abbaye-prison. Equipement complet. Accueil chaleureux. Restauration de qualité.

Un séjour sympathique dans un cadre bucolique et un hébergement légèrement désuet et traditionnel. Le restaurant propose une belle terrasse sur un jardin paysager, la carte est variée mais les plats ne sont pas toujours "maison"

Little french gem
What a little gem. Friendly, comfortable, great food, peaceful and well placed for an off route stop on our way to Geneva. Great food, comfortable bed and room.

We stopped here overnight from a long drive. The bed was comfortable enough and the location was very near the highway. The building does need some updating. Breakfast was ok but 11 euro each for a piece of bread, croissant and a brownie with orange juice is a little pricey.

Bonjour,Nous tenons à vous remercier pour votre commentaire.Par contre, nos petits déjeuners ne sont pas à 11 euros mais à 9.50 avec boissons chaudes de votre choix, viennoiserie, pain beurre confiture, jus de fruits, charcuterie, fromages locaux, fruits, céréales. Je pense donc que vous avez confondu avec un autre établissement. Nous avons passé un agréable week-end à l'hôtel de l'abbaye à proximité du mémorial de Charles de Gaulle à Colombey les Deux Églises et pas très loin de Nigloland. Les propriétaires sont très agréables ainsi que le personnel. L'établissement est très propre et les chambres sont très correctes; cependant la literie mériterait d'être renouvelée (chambre16), j'ai le dos sensible. Le restaurant mérite 5 étoile. Le propriétaire qui est le chef est excellent; nous avons très bien mangé. Encore merci à toute l'équipe. A bientôt.

A most pleasant overnight stay
This hotel is most convenient for an overnight stay as it is literally 5 minutes from the motorway. It very clean and the bed was comfortable. We both had steak for the evening meal and were so pleased that it was ‘blue’ as we had asked rather than over cooked (for us) because ‘foreigners wouldn’t understand blue’ (which happens surprisingly often) Breakfast was particularly good with a superb range of options both sweet and savoury - and very good coffee.

I am not going to give this hotel a good review after being charged for a room I did not use. I initially attempted to make a reservation for a double room via Expedia. The Expedia reservation site indicated that there were no rooms available so I proceeded to search other sites and found a room via Hotels.com. When I arrived at the hotel, they insisted that 2 rooms had been reserved and made me pay for the room that was not used! DISHONEST

Malgré une arrivée tardive, accueil sympathique. Chambre agréable et propre. Petit déjeuner bien varié.Petit bémol pour le Wifi avec un code à rallonge et je n'ai pas réussi à l'utiliser. Bien que je n'ai pu l'apprécier vu le temps, l'aménagement extérieur à l'air sympa. Bref: je recommande!

Nice little stopover, close to Autoroute.
A nice little hotel. close to the Autoroute, which provides an ideal stopover location if travelling the length of France. Rooms are basic, but functional. Set dinner at E10.50 is excellent value, as is the breakfast. There is easy off strett parking, but it is not secure.

Cute spot, perfect for a quick overnight stay
The place was very pretty and the bed was comfortable. The rooms were a bit bare but that’s to be expected I think. The receptionist that checked us in was very sweet and helpful, even with a bit of a language barrier. The breakfast could have been a little bit better for the price but it was still tasty. I’d definitely go back!

Pleasant hotel for overnight stay
Address given was not accurate - the village is Clairvaux. sur Aube. Very traditional French hotel which made a nice change. Situation with garden good, rooms clean & adequate. Dinner was really good & traditional breakfast also good. Staff pleasant & helpful.

Bring back the abbey to enhance the appeal.
Friendly service, the locals drop in and the food was good. A bit dark inside. The splendid abbey is a prison, though there are plans to close it. Happy to stay again.
