"This hotel is close to downtown Catania (about 2 km walk). We were able to choose between a room downstairs or a suite upstairs. We chose the suite because it had a small kitchen and a private terrace. You have to take fairly narrow spiral staircase to get upstairs but this was not a problem for us. "I have nothing negative to say about this place. I stayed for 4 night with my wife and 2 young children (6 and 7) and I was thrilled with my stay. Room was spacious and clean, the grounds are incredible, service is top notch and food is excellent. It's a splurge but very much worth it."

The shower was faulty and the water cold but that didn't worry us as it was so hot! Bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast was OK - we don't have the sweet tooth as the locals seem to and so it was not to our taste but the range and quality very good."

It is a long walk to town and the beach, however they offer a free transfer 3 times a day. If I was to go again it would be better if we had a car , but probably won't return as we like an evening walk and it wasn't nice to walk nearby."
