"Location Location Location.The rental was right on cooks bay. The shallow water was perfect for our 4 year old.There is a small grocery store walking distance, maybe 4 min walk.Aiden was extremely helpful when we needed things. Bottled water was available throughout our stay.In general, the house was a little dated which is not really shown in the pictures. We had some problems with the kitchen sink draining the first day which Aiden took care of right away.The TV downstairs didn’t work so we had to bring the tv from upstairs down. That tv was slow on loading apps such as Netflix.There is no shower upstairs. Only a tub with a handheld.Some of the windows upstairs didn’t close all the way which let bugs in.Also, the steps to the back patio are a little difficult to see. We had a 70 old fall and a couple of other close calls. Be prepared for mosquitoes if you visit in May. We had 2 days of heavy rain which probably didn’t help the mosquito situation.All and all, we would definitely come back. The view from the backyard is truly magnificent."

"We stayed for over one month at this location. The unit is well equipped, the view on Oponuhu bay is indeed breathtaking. Location is quiet and out of the way but convenient 2 mins from Tàhiamanu beach and 10mins from Tiahura Beach area and 12 mins from the grocery store. A car is necessary, a car with higher ground clearance is recommended, the hill climbing to this great view is not easy. Communications with the owner and staff were friendly, easy and efficient. They made sure we had everything we needed. This unit is great for a rustic retreat in northern Moorea. Thanks again to Veira and Selma."

"This is for sure a five star island and location. Forget about staying at one of those bungalows. Here, you have friendly dogs, a private beach, access to private snorkeling, a good size kitchen, a grill, a hammock, a private concierge (Alix), and if you want: a boat and car. We highly recommend getting a boat and car. The water here is spectacular and it was cool to boat to the place where snorkeling trips go to see the sharks and rays. The road noise is certainly a thing…but it’s the trade you get when you live amongst the locals and not in a large resort. The outdoor shower (and indoor) were lovely, our weather was perfect, and the furniture for relaxing was amazing. In some ways this place was a bit more rustic than I was used expecting….but it made it feel like a much more authentic and wonderful experience. What a gorgeous country!"

"Time standing still, no crowds, silent except for the sound of waves and wind in the trees. Away from nightlife, the hurried travel of vehicles taking people to and from work. Easily filled eyes with a spectrum of color backed by every shade of green. It was a refreshing peace not to be shared on Facebook."
