"Lovely hotel but after going into our room at 10pm after a festival I got changed for bed . Used the bathroom went to wash my hands and the hot water tap was broken. No hot water - no water even out the tap. Only cold water which is no good. Too tierd to move rooms. Told reception on checkout but no compensation or discounted next staff or offer of breakfast - absolutely nothing. Poor really. I said you need to get it fixed for the next guests. "Stayed in the 'Dunlin room' Very poor lighting in the corridor. Wallpaper patched up poorly in the corridor by the bedrooms. Noisy extractor fan in our bathroom. Breakfast a little underwhelming, (overdone bacon and chewy sausage. Staff very attentive and polite. No signal on the tv celestial channels on two days. Limited bathroom amenities. Cobwebs on the windows in the breakfast area. "

"I think this was the best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in, and we’ve stayed in a lot world wide . Great welcome, room spacious and clean. A nice area to sit in in the evening, food was available and lots of people were eating, we just had a glass of wine . Breakfast was really good, great selection, fresh and good variety . Friendly helpful staff, great location, quiet, good value for money, what more can you ask for ? Thank you x"

"The staff were extremely helpful when we suffered a bad experience with our food on our first night's stay. Stick to the basic meals on the menu, like the burgers and fish and chips! We booked a bed, breakfast and evening meal deal for 2 nights, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but, on reflection, should have booked everything separately, because we would be over £100 better off!! Apart from being placed at the worst, and least private, table in the restaurant, we only had a limited menu...

"My room was super clean and tidy with everything you may need. All the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Private parking just outside my room. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. I ate dinner here which was simply supeb"

"Beautiful hall and surroundings. Dinner was excellent. My room was spacious and clean. The staff make this place amazing, they are all so lovely. Solveiga stood out the most, I was lucky enough to have her check me in and out and she is honestly the most wonderful person. I hope she gets the credit she deserves."
