8.2/10 Very Good! (120 reviews)
Don’t be fooled by the name !! This hotel might have been boutique back in the 80’s. My room (7), was decorated by my gran with an eclectic miss match of furniture. The bed was terrible and hardly slept all week, sofas were non usable as sooo uncomfortable, the phone reception was non existent and the WiFi was really as bad. Considering i work away, wifi is pretty critical for my needs and I couldn’t do any work which meant being on site longer than I would have liked. I’m working in Cheltenham till Feb 27 but certainly won’t be coming back here

9.4/10 Exceptional! (31 reviews)
Parking is very convenient and close to the village centre. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is very small and not what was advertised. It had a skylight but no windows. Towel warmer didn’t work. Breakfast hours were advertised for 9-10:30. When we arrived at 10 they told us breakfast was closed, but when I pointed out their own hours listed on the card, they did make us breakfast.

"I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, which makes it particularly disappointing to see the standards decline to the point where I will not be returning. To start with the positives, the hotel is located in a quiet area and offers free parking, both of which are genuine benefits ..."

"AC was not very good, fortunately it wasn’t too hot when we visited, but would imagine a heat wave would be tough. Hotel was nice, showing its age in places. Staff were helpful and friendly!"
