Welcome to Trails Retreat! Built in the late1970's, this traditional family home is located on the outskirts of town in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to snowmobile/ATV, X-country ski, hiking, and bike trails. Whether you spend the day on an outdoor adventure, or perusing the local attractions and gift shops, this home is a great place to gather, relax, and enjoy.

MAIN LEVEL:
~ Entry Way - Coat and shoe closet
~ Living Room - TV with Roku stick. Comfy furniture including a chair, couch, and
loveseat.
~ Kitchen - Fully stocked. Refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Feel
free to help yourself to the spices in the spice cabinet. There is a dining
table that seats 6, with extra chairs if needed. There is deck access from the
kitchen.

UPSTAIRS:
~ Full bathroom - Shower/tub combination.
~ Bedroom #1 - Queen bed. Walk-in closet. Full bathroom with shower.
~ Bedroom #2 - Queen bed. Closet.
~ Bedroom #3 - Two twin beds. Closet.

DOWNSTAIRS:
~ Office - Desk & chair.
~ Bedroom #4 - Queen bed. Closet.
~ Laundry Room - Washer & Dryer for guests to use. Half bathroom (toilet & utility
sink).
~ Family Room - TV with Roku stick. Couch & rocking chair. A great extra hang-out
space with access to the patio.

~ Deck: Perfect for entertaining. Large table with chairs. Small table with 2 chairs.

Parking. There is a U-shaped driveway large enough to easily fit 3 trucks with trailers.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURES:
~ Snowmobile/ATV enthusiasts - Snowmobiles and ATVs are street legal on county
roads and city streets in and near Two Harbors. The Two Harbors snowmobile/ATV trail is less than 1 block away, which has direct access to the State Trail. You
can start your outdoor adventure right from the driveway, or haul the trailer up
Highway 2, about 1 mile, park in the lot and hit the trail from there.
~ Cross-country skiing - There is a trail less than 2 blocks away. This can be accessed
right from the driveway, if the weather allows, or a 1-minute drive down the road to
the parking lot.
~ Hiking/Biking - Visit https://lakecounty-chamber.com to get a detailed list of trails and
maps.

~ Gooseberry Falls State Park.
~ Split Rock Lighthouse and Split Rock Lighthouse State Park.
~ Two Harbors Lighthouse.

DAMAGE AND INCIDNTALS:
You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay.

Our stay was perfect! The house was in a great location in Two Harbors. The first night we checked in and drove back to Duluth for dinner at Grandma’s Saloon and then went to the Haunted Ghost Ship. Made it great for a day trip up to Grand Portage to the highest waterfall in Minnesota and dinner in Grand Marais. The second day we traveled back north to Cascade River State Park and made our way back down the shore making stops at Black Beach, Iona’s Beach and Gooseberry Falls. The home was comfortable to come back to and we made dinner and watched movies in the evening. The beds were comfortable for everyone. We were supposed to have 8 of us but only ended up with 4, so we each had our own room. The younger two would have liked a television in the bedrooms. Would definitely stay here again. Host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly.

Everythig was just fine. There were some bulbs out and some difficulty with a light fiixture but owner was very responsive and the problems were easily resolved.Kitchen was very well equipped, but we would suggest having some salad/dessert size plates on hand.

The house was well stocked and clean. Our stay went well. A 4 and a half star is more accurate. Minor complaints keeping it not a 5. The bathrooms are on the small side, and I don't think the TV downstairs was connected to cable or streaming. Maybe I messed up. Multiple light switches that didn't control anything. We would stay there again.

The house was really comfortable and clean. Best location to attractions. It was a really great house it had everything we wanted. The house was ready to cook in and had an amazing fire pit. It is perfect for family's and we really felt at home there.

SIBLING 24th REUNION

PERFECT!!! The house we rented from Kim was the BEST house we have ever rented!! Immaculate! Everything we would ever need was stocked in this house. The four bedrooms were perfect for us Siblings. With FIVE sisters & ONE brother, the bedrooms were situated so my Brother could have his own area in the basement. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone wanting to come to Two Harbors. Kim was a wonderful host! Thank you so much for the use of your home.

Game changer

This house was PERFECT! Our group LOVED the house. We had team dinners every night for three weeks. Staying at the house was a game changer for all of us- everyone was so happy! I cannot say enough good things about the home and our amazing host.

Weekend stay

We arrived and I was able to contact our host immediately as we had some trouble receiving the welcome package and needed the code. It was no trouble and we were in right away. The pictures do not do the place justice, wonderful comfy beds, soft towels, cute little bundles of soaps and shampoos, nice decor and all the spices and kitchen pans you could want. The living space, inside and out was perfect for our group of 6 but could have hosted 8 easily. Thank you for making your place available!

Great host, great stay!

We had a three family (8-person) vacation on the Northshore including a few children age 6 to 12. The house was very welcoming. We only had 2 vehicles, but there was space for 3+ in the driveway. The house was well stocked with what you might need in the kitchen. The cabinets and drawers were well stocked with different pot, pans, knives, cooking bowls, cooking utensils, storage containers, spices/seasonings, etc. Each family in our group took turns making dinner and we had all we needed on the equipment side to make everything from homemade tortillas to chicken parmesan to spaghetti. In the bathroom, there were small containers with body soap, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, lotion and lotion. Very intentional, not like they were leftovers from someone else's motel stay. The laundry room had detergent available. There was a small issue with the setting on the water heater as we noticed that the showers were getting colder over the course of the day. We contacted the host, they responded within a few minutes, and had someone come over within 10 minutes for fix the issue. After that, we had consistently hot showers once the water heater had time to heat the water. This is a host who has really thought through being a host for families on vacation who want a touch of home. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Quiet, Central Location

We had a great time! With kiddos it's so nice to have more space than a hotel room. They could have probably just stayed at the house and been happy, rather than going out to see the sights of the gorgeous north shore! But, we did drag them away to check out Gooseberry Falls, Betty's Pies, and Duluth. This was a great location for many north shore activities. We loved being sort of between Duluth and the north shore. And Two Harbors is such a sweet little town! We loved it!

Great family stay

Great kid friendly home for a family stay to attend a wedding. Plenty of room for everyone and places to spread out. Beds on the firm side for most of us, but realize that is a ‘taste’ thing - just saying. Great quiet location and host was excellent!

Great for families with kids!

There were 8 of us, 6 adults and 2 preschoolers. This home was just the right size. Large living room, family room, and kitchen plus 4 bedrooms helped us to have lots of elbow room. And having three toilets and two showers was a blessing! Everything was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. And the large driveway area was great! Would recommend to any large family group!

Great spot on the North Shore!

This house in Two Harbors was a great place for our friend group to stay while we took day trips along the North Shore. The bedding and towels were nice, the kitchen was really well appointed and the furniture was comfortable. We loved the two outdoor seating areas! The host was incredibly responsive and the house was very clean. We highly recommend it!

Perfect retreat for our family!

We had a wonderful stay at this location in Two Harbors. The host Kim was so kind and very communicative before and throughout the stay. The house was spacious and well stocked with what we needed to have an easy and restful weekend for us and our 5 children! The house was super clean, comfortable furniture and large bedrooms were just a few of the things we loved and we felt very much 'at home' while there. We would recommend this house to anyone heading to the area.

Great place to stay

We had 3 couples - very accommodating and nice size bedrooms and very nice beds. Very clean. Great space to make meals and one night had s’mores outside around the fire pit. The town is lovely and convenient to get groceries. Also like how close it was for day trips to Duluth and only 79 miles to Grand Marais and all kinds of great hiking. Very close to Rustic Inn in Castle Danger - great pies:)

Summer In Two Harbors

We had a nice stay in Two Harbors and enjoyed the house. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for our vacation. Kim was helpful and allowed us an early check-in, which was much appreciated. The location was great, and the neighborhood was quiet. There was plenty of space for our kids to run and play, and we really enjoyed the deck out back - perfect for relaxing with an evening beverage! We would be happy to stay here again!

Very nice home
