Free wifi and nice and close to town!!

The cottage has an open plan lounge and kitchen, 3 bedrooms off the lounge.

The recently renovated kitchen boasts a nice big fridge and has everything you need, including a fold-out dining table suitable for eating meals around.

The new bathroom has a good-sized shower, vanity, and toilet. Separate laundry with washing machine

The house is very compact (70sqm) but has a lovely fully fenced back yard that is excellent for children and dogs to play and a covered verandah to enjoy a quiet drink on, outdoor kitchen area and fridge for outside entertaining.

Pros: The cottage looked clean on arrival, and we especially liked the kitchen and the newly renovated bathroom. Cons: During our stay, I experienced several unexplained skin reactions that caused discomfort. Later, I noticed a small insect on my clothing. While I cannot determine the source, this affected our overall comfort during the stay. Because of this experience, we felt a five-star rating would not be appropriate, even though there were positive aspects to the property.

The propery was the best we have stayed in on our 2 week trip. Everything was spotless and the house was very well catered. Close walk to lovely restaurants for dinner. Comfortable beds. We even did a bit of star gazing in the back yard in the middle of the night. I would definitely recommend this property

MacKenzie Cottage

Twizel township is a lovely place, we were surprised at the night life on the streets but it was still a nice relaxing place to go for the weekend. The heatpump didnt seem to want to operate with the remote. And there were a heap of bottle caps in driveway, which were not ours. All in all we would come back when affordable, it was a nice place.

Terrific Spot To Stay

A great wee property, close to town. Very clean and tidy and well presented. Great to be able to take the dog, big backyard for her to run around in. The veranda is great for getting some shade on those hot Twizel days. We'd love to come back and stay again 😊

Easy getaway

An absolutely brilliant place handy to the shops and a great area to relax.

Brilliant place to stay, plenty of space in the yard for activities. Great house to stay, in. Heat pump was a must for the hot days! (Had plenty of them!!!) Very helpful and accommodating host, had absolutely no problems with adding a couple of friends to stay for a couple of nights. Only a short walk to centre of Twizel shopping centre. Highly recommended accommodation!

Our family Holiday in Twizel.
