The Space:

The Birdhouse delivers a truly unique Joshua Tree experience. Featuring high-design interiors created by one of HGTV's leading designers, the home combines retro-inspired character with modern luxury.



The living room features an oversized plush sectional and a smart television cleverly concealed within a custom vintage-inspired cabinet, creating the perfect setting for movie nights. The stylish kitchen is fully equipped with Viking appliances, cookware, utensils, spices, oils, and everything needed to prepare memorable meals.



Each sleeping area is furnished with exceptionally comfortable memory-foam mattresses. Bathrooms feature luxury rain shower heads and boutique hotel-quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.



The Game Room bunkhouse includes a regulation pool table, two large-screen televisions, a record player with an eclectic vinyl collection, and a variety of board games for guests of all ages.




The true centerpiece of the property is the expansive backyard oasis. The privacy fence fully encloses the outdoor space and features a custom Mod Pool swimming pool with viewing window, a six-person hot tub, pickleball court, cornhole toss, gas firepit, gas grill, and multiple dining and lounging areas. It is the perfect place to relax while taking in panoramic desert views and unforgettable night skies.

Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire home and property. A locked storage closet and storage shed are reserved for owner use. Parking is available for up to six vehicles, including two spaces in the front driveway and additional parking alongside the home.



The Neighborhood:

The Birdhouse is located comfortably between Downtown Joshua Tree and Downtown Twentynine Palms and right outside of the Indian Cove Entrance to the National Park. You'll enjoy the seclusion of the desert landscape, while being comfortably close to restaurants, bars, shopping, and hiking.

Getting Around:

This is a remote location down dirt roads, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.



Other Things to Note:

Birdhouse Layout:

The Birdhouse consists of two open-concept buildings. The Main House includes the living room, kitchen, dining area, and a king sleeping area. The Game Room building includes a king bed area and a bedroom area featuring two full-size bunk beds. Please review the layout carefully to ensure it meets your group's needs.



Pool Heating:

Pool heating is available for an additional nightly fee during cooler months. Pool heating is usually not needed from May through September. Advance notice is required. If you’d like the pool heated to 84°F, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival. If heating for multiple days, days must be consecutive.

► October & April - $100/night

► November through March - $150/night

Pool Service:

To keep the pool as pristine as possible, the pool service occurs Monday and Thursday mornings and is conducted through the side gate to respect guest privacy. Please note that the time of their arrival may vary due to their busy schedule. While we try our best to keep the pool clean with our service, occasionally the high winds blow sand into the pool.

Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips:

The surrounding desert is home to a variety of wildlife, including coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, and other native species. Guests should remain aware of their surroundings and always supervise children and service animals when outdoors. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



Mounted iPad:

An in-home iPad allows you to control lighting, climate, and curated music playlists throughout the property. A QR code enables you to control automation from your personal mobile device. Bluetooth Speakers are available as well.



Electric Vehicle Charger:

There is no fee to charge your electric vehicle! Charger is a Standard Level 2 Charge Port @ 240v 40amps. For Tesla, you will need to bring the SAE J1772 Charging Adapter that came with your Tesla.



Pest Service:

To keep the desert critters at bay, our pest technician will spray the exterior of the home every month. We try to schedule this while guests are not in the house.



Trash Service:

A trash bin is located to the right of the main house. Trash pickup is every other Monday.



Cleaning Fee:

100% of the cleaning fee goes directly to our hardworking cleaners.

Late Check Out

Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.
