But the bed......
Typical Japanese hotel, small but adequate. However, this hotel had the hardest bed I have experienced in Japan. Everything else was fine, but the bed.....ouch! Hotel was close to Hagorosan which we climbed the next day. Good restaraunts in the area, but the bed....... I asked the desk clerk (in Japanese) if all the beds were that hard as I rapped on the granite counter. Her response was yes, they were all the same, no matter the price of the room. In their defense, I did feel another bed as we were exiting and it felt a little softer, but not sure I will risk it again. Parking was great, but the bed...... We just want a clean place to lay our head, but we awoke anything but refreshed. Did I mention how bad the bed was........

I was only there for a night before traveling outside the city. This was just a bed to sleep in. The bed, I will say, was almost rock hard, but I do appreciate that. This is what, I think, the Japanese call a Business hotel. The room is TINY. To open a full suitcase, you have to put it on the bed and pack up the luggage before you go to bed. Like, I said, though, this was a roof over my head for a night; it was perfect for that. It is a ways from the train station and a taxi there was about $15, which I wasn't super pleased with, but oh well.

施設も清潔、充実していて、快適でした。コストパフォーマンスにすぐれて、満足しました。他の地域のルートインホテルもこのレベルであれば何度も利用したいです。 ただ一点、ネット予約したとき、禁煙をクリックしたはずが喫煙となっていて、訂正しようとホテルに電話したが海外からの通話番号で通じなかった。鶴岡市外局番を調べて変更してもらったが、国外と国内に分けて表示してもらいたかった。

大曲花火大会の帰りに泊まりました。他の利用者も花火帰りと思われる方々が多かったようです。フロントの方はそれなりの対応でしたが、朝食のハイキングのホールスタッフは忙しい為かイライラされているのがまた分かるご様子でした。チェックアウトが後1時間遅くなればもっと高評価が

連泊で利用した際、不在の日中の清掃に関し「環境のためにタオル交換やごみの回収などの最低限の対応を了解してもらえたら、ソフトドリンクやアルコールを提供します」と言われたので了解しましたが、寝間着の甚平やシーツの交換がありませんでした。自分にとっての最低限は寝間着やシーツは当たり前だと思い了解したのですが、最低限について詳細に説明いただけなかったことは残念ですし、自分で勝手に判断したことは反省です。3泊で非常に不便な思いをして、もらったのは350㎖の一番搾り2本だったので、快適な環境のためにはやめた方がいいです。了承した自分を後悔しています。それともっと詳細な説明をしてほしかったです。結果ルートインには今後泊まりたくなくなりました。
