The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom both very spacious and comfortable. I slept well! A great location for a one night stay. Easy to walk to and from the centre of Truro and the railway station. The room was clean as was the bathroom aside from the bath (there were hairs in it). I didn't want to use it anyway but would have been nice to see it clean. The walls are thin so guests have to be considerate in the evening (TV and voice levels kept low).

Stayed in a twin room with my daughter for a visit to Falmouth Uni. Beds were comfortable and building was quiet. Great to have a fridge, microwave, kettle in room. Would definitely recommend for short stays / business trips etc.

The staff are lovely and the room was cleaned daily, which was appreciated. However, the room itself is very dated. The same applies to the bathroom, it appeared clean, but is clearly in need of refurbishment. There was visible mould on the ceiling and around the tiles, which felt more like a maintenance issue than something related to recent storm damage. After reading earlier reviews from last year, it’s a shame that some of these issues still haven’t been addressed. I was told a painter is due in, so the guesthouse is aware, but it didn’t really change my experience during the stay. The shower pressure was quite low, and the temperature was inconsistent. It would switch from warm to very hot without any adjustment, which made it difficult to use. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The heating is on a timer rather than user-controlled, but it worked fine during my stay. Overall, it was reasonably priced, but the property would benefit from some updates and general maintenance.

The staff member was pleasant but the room was grim and the bathroom worse. I didn't want to use the towels as they looked grey, frayed and so old. I don't think it's fair to continue to portray this place as a guesthouse when it's more of a place that would be a hostel or a tradies stop off. It either needs complete renovation or more accurate portrayal in advertising. It's not somewhere to use as a holiday guesthouse. A few positives are that there's good parking, a Lidl over the road and it's about 15 minutes walk into town (more on the way back as it's uphill). I wouldn't stay again and would have decided not to stay after seeing the bathroom if I hadn't been so tired.

Clean and comfortable room. The toilet for my room was down the corridor (shower was in the room) which I initially thought is a bit inconvenient, but it was for my use only and I never bumped into anyone in the corridor.

Parking was great. Check in straight forward. Room was a good size and quiet away from a busy road. Not luxurious but fine for an overnight stay. Price good for the location.
