Restaurants, shops and boat shuttles to Fort-de-France on foot.

The Neighborhood:
Anse à l'Âne feels like a small seaside village, quieter than neighbouring Pointe du Bout, where everything is within walking distance. The beach is just seconds from the residence: 400 m (1,300 ft) of fine sand, calm and shallow water, ideal with children, and a view over the Bay of Fort-de-France that is at its most beautiful at the end of the day. Just behind, under the trees, the pétanque court brings locals and travellers together for a game, some fun or a chat. All around: beachfront restaurants with your feet in the sand, beach bars, a pizzeria, a bakery, a Carrefour Market supermarket, a tobacconist and a newsagent.
Getting Around:
• Everything you need day to day on foot: beach, restaurants, shops
• From the pier, boat shuttles leave several times a day for Fort-de-France: about a 20-minute crossing over the bay, and the car stays at the residence
• A coastal trail leads on foot to Anse Noire and Anse Dufour, known for their turtles: check with the tourist office before setting out
• A car is still recommended to explore the island: Anse Mitan and Pointe du Bout a few minutes away, Les Anses-d'Arlet and Le Diamant further south
Other Things to Note:
• 20 m² (215 sq ft), ideal for 2 people
• No direct sea view from the bungalow: the beach is just seconds away along the short path
• Seaside location: bring mosquito repellent
• Fully renovated residence: all works are completed
• Bed linen, bath towels and beach towels provided, professional cleaning before each arrival
• No parties or events, quiet appreciated after 10 pm
• Check-in from 3 pm, check-out by 11 am
