"The property was just as advertised and perfect for 3 generations of a family to stay together comfortably. The location was walking distance to bus stops, train stations, convenience stores and supermarkets. The only issues were that the rooms and house gets very cold if the heat is not constantly running and there was no electricity coming from the outlets in the dining room or bedroom directly above it. These are not something that should deter someone from staying at this location."

"There was 8 of us who stayed in the house and we all had our own bed. That is why I booked this house and it was perfect. Don’t hesitate if you’re debating on it. You’ll be so glad you did. You’ll get an authentic feeling stay. Short 4 min walk to 7 Eleven and 6 min walk to bus. It is a farther walk (15ish min) from subway, which is what you’ll need to take when you have luggage. "We stayed at Kaya Villa in April 2015. Kaya Villa is a stand-alone cottage in Miyama village about 30 km northwest of Kyoto. Property manager picked us up at the local train station (Sonobe) and, at our request, stopped by the supermarket on the way there because we wanted to cook our own meals (there's no room service or restaurant in the village!).
