The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were big. We loved sitting by the outdoor pool, listening to the birds and swimming. We felt like we were in an oasis. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is also very close to Chichen Itza. It has secure parking on site.
Room was clean and tidy but was kind of dark due to black furniture. Staff was good and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and we liked the service. The amount we paid for one night stay is pricey for the quality of hotel in that small town.
When we arrived, the hotel had a problem with power but they upgraded us at mayaland hotel a short drive away and it was a wonderful hotel in the jungle with huge pool and a half dozen peacoks adorning the premisses. The stay was wonderful!!! Staff was super attentive!!!
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Chichén Itzá. The property is a beautifully preserved converted hacienda, full of character and charm, which made the whole experience feel really special and unique.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable which was perfect for our group. The bathrooms were a standout too, with full bathtubs which were great after long days exploring.
The restaurant was fantastic, serving mostly traditional Mexican food that was fresh, authentic, and consistently delicious.
What really made this place exceptional, though, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-oriented, nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
The pool area was great for both adults and kids, and the grounds themselves are absolutely stunning, immaculately maintained and a joy to walk around.
We stayed as a group of 9, including children, and it suited us perfectly. It’s one of those places that feels relaxing, welcoming, and memorable all at once.
Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chichén Itzá.
Hotel Chichen Itza was everything we were hoping for and more! Ideal location 5 min drive from the ancient city staying here is a much better option as opposed to getting bused in from Cancun or Tulum. You are able to wake early and beat the crowds who arrive around 10am. The included breakfast was also fantastic made to order eggs and fresh fruit. The actual property is secure, rooms were clean, parking was easy. The staff was extremely helpful in setting up a personal tour with a licensed guide. We had a private tour which included transportation ( to and from the hotel lobby), entry fee, plus the tour at a very reasonable price. Our guide was a local Mayan who didn’t just rush us along. But instead took the time to educate us and took his time explaining the entire site. Not just El Castillo. Highly recommend the hotel, and private tour.
We booked this hotel, but due to electrical issues they moved us to their sister hotel that is located in the Chichen Itza property. The hotel was wonderful and the staff we fantastic. The restaurant was excellent, I highly recommend the Cochinita Pibil, it was excellent.
Actually the property was in renovation and they took us to their parent company, hotel Mayaland; which was a huge upgrade as Mayaland is one of the oldest 1st class hotels on the area. It was great and the property and service was amazing. I would recommen Mayaland instead and we were lucky to be there paying a considerable lower rate 😁
Gorgeous hotel with friendly employees, adorable stray dogs fed by guests, authentic and delicious food, and a fantastic courtyard and outside pool area (with swing!)

Walkable to Chichen Itza. Good breakfast served promptly by friendly staff. But overall property is tired and dated.
We were a little nervous about this hotel, but it was absolutely fine. Helpful reception, food tasty and a welcoming swimming pool if it was too hot. I suspect most people coming here will stay only a night or two, and it is absolutely fine.
I can’t wait to come back again one day! The staff was amazing, Jose at the front desk was so helpful. The included breakfast was tasty. You could walk to Chichén Itzá pyramids from the hotel.
We have been to Hotel Chitchen Itza before. It is a great hotel. All the amenities you need in the heart of the Yucatan. It has never disappointed our Yucatan experience.
Very beautiful and unique place to stay. Exotic and warming. We stayed here during the hurricane coming by the town. Staff kept us comfortable. Will be staying here in future to explore the town more.
The hotel is close to chichen itza. We walked twice in one day in the morning and at night time to see the lights show.
The breakfast was really good which was included.
This was an excellent choice for our trip to the Yucatan peninsula. It’s conveniently located and easy to get to, staff was very good. Our booking included breakfast, which was very good. We stayed 3 nights and breakfast was one of my favorite things. It’s very close to chi Chen Itza.
Beautiful place. Love it! All of their staff is friendly and helpful. Their breakfast was great! Not to mention dinner, it was also great.
Had a very relaxed evening in the pool after visiting Chichén Itzá ruins.
This property was very well kept and had excellent friendly staff. The breakfast was awesome, freshly made watermelon juice, fresh sweet fruit, freshly baked sweet bread. No elevator but the staff took our luggage up.
