The room was very pleasant - I would have preferred a higher floor but bed was comfortable and room was clean. Check in was easy - I was at hotel only to sleep so I didn't utilize restaurant or bar area but they looked really nice.

The staff was lovely and I really appreciated the kind and hospitable nature of the hotel. I will say, however, that the room was a little rundown (Ex. a broken cabinet door, discolored lampshades, a glitchy TV remote, and chips on the corners of the vanity). Those are just little things that made it feel not as upscale, but overall I really enjoyed the experience.

The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. What bothered me was the smell of marijuana in the hallways and elevator. The hotel accepts dogs, and I was not aware of that, so there was always a room with a dog barking. Breakfast was very limited, with no variety. I stayed for 6 days, and the oatmeal was always hard. The boiled eggs tasted like they had been kept in the refrigerator, and there were no scrambled eggs only fried eggs full of grease with a hard yolk, or an omelet with cheese (I cannot eat cheese) and bell peppers. Horrible. Overall, the hotel is well located, right next to the metro station, with restaurants nearby. It is clean, and the front desk staff was always very kind and attentive, helping us with many important pieces of information. Oh , make sure the rooftop is open and you book.

The room and front desk were great! The housekeeping staff always greeted my family in the hall. If you have to stay near the National Mall then i recommend this location. My only negative is the restaurant. We decided to eat there since we were tired after a long day. We ordered a charcuterie board to snack on in our room; this took 1.5 hours to get to us. When it arrived the meat in one section of the plate was rancid and had to be sat outside the room due to the smell. We went down to the desk to tell them and they assured me that it would not be charged to the room. We then decided to eat in the lobby since it was late and we were tired. I was told at the host stand that there was a 30min wait which was fine, so we gave them our info and sat in front of them in the lobby 20ft away. The staff ignored my family, sat other parties while making us wait for over an hour (till i complained again). They then offered to serve us on a couch without a table which i told them "no." When we received the food it was cold and definitely not worth the money. The bartenders also need to be educated that mixed drinks should actually be mixed and not presented as separate layers of liquour in a glass. Upon check out our invoice still had the charcuterie board charged to us which i had to go back to the front desk. Like i said; the staff from the doormen to the housekeeping are wonderful but the food staff needs improvement.

Great rooms... Large bathrooms... Perfect location. I would stay here again.
