This little cottage is perfect for anyone wanting to stay in the Thompson, IA area. It’s comfortable and clean, and the owner leaves a nice basket of goodies to snack on. I definitely recommend Split Pine!

Quiet and relaxing small town

Everything about that house is great and there’s two things that needs attention which is the fridge and bathroom tub . Fridge makes constant noises and the tub has high walls which is concern for elders to climb in or out or anyone who is disabled who can’t climb in tub like that .

Fair time living away from home

This cozy little home was clean, an excellent place to stay. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay. We were there for the small town fair. Got to watch my grandchildren show their live stock, close enough to the fairgrounds with no fuss or worries. The only thing I would change would be maybe put door handles on opposite side of bathroom door. Overall experience was excellent. GPS kinda took us to wrong location, so I called number and they were calling right back. Very pleasant to talk too. Thank you again.

Cute place in a cute town.

This residence is very cozy and well equipped. Our host stocked the place with snacks and even a frozen pizza in freezer. It’s close to the Main Street of the town, close the the world famous Branding Iron restaurant. I definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect for our needs!

This little gem was perfect for us! We had a graduation in a nearby town. We needed a place to sleep and shower for the weekend. We will definitely consider staying again. The kitchen has all the essentials if we needed to cook. Lou Ann left a snack basket (gluten free options, too!) and a frozen pizza in the freezer. What a nice touch! Would highly recommend this property.
