The property is well maintained and the staff friendly. The location is very good - for me probably a 4.8 out of 5. Bed comfortable and everything clean.
The issue is it is small. Now I am used to smaller sized hotels in Europe - I know we are not in the huge rooms of the US - I am very well traveled all over Europe and the world. This “double” was I am sure the smallest “double” I have ever stayed in. - my next destination was Paris and a “double” at a boutique hotel (for a little less per night is small but very comfortable and “much bigger”). Now also while I understand Amsterdam is most certainly not an inexpensive city for hotels- the price vs. the size was honestly just silly. Value is not there for me.
3 stars is generous only because of location, condition, and staff.
