"This residence inn is very clean. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating when we needed assistance. Our week stay was extremely quiet. The only thing that I wish upper management would consider is getting rid of whatever incense they use in the lobby. It gave me scratchy throat and headache and I had to hold my breath and cover my mouth while walking through. Smelled like horrible chemical strong scent. Not friendly for people with sensitivities or asthma. Breakfast had no vegan or GF options except for fruits but we had a kitchen so it's ok. Still it's 2026. There could be more options. overall we would definitely still come back to this location. "

"The rooms definitely need to be updated. There was paint peeling off of the bathroom walls and things that were ripped. For a last-minute reservation it was fine though I was able to cook food and it was quiet. It was also very spacious which I appreciated. Need better coffee in breakfast room, and in the rooms."

"I was skeptical because the price was so low, but I booked a couple of rooms for a long weekend and was really impressed. The check in was quick, staff friendly, and the rooms were very clean. The grounds were well maintained. The only thing was that the hot tub was not in service, but it was absolutely fine since its not really the time of year for that anyway. Also, if you are looking for a full breakfast, you will be disappointed, but a nice snack to tide you over is what is available and the coffee was good. Would definitely consider it if ever staying in Novato again."

"This property was really dirty. Parts of the room were clean and then other parts of the room were filthy. The room smelled terrible. The staff was really nice but we will never stay here again. "

"We have stayed at this home before. It is very well appointed, especially the kitchen. The setting is quiet and beautiful. It is very conveniently located with easy access to nearby points of interest. The homeless was spotless. John is an excellent and communicative host. We stay regularly in the area to visit family. The home is perfect for family gatherings. On this occasion we were easily able to get to Napa, Tiburon (Angel Island), Larkspur (ferry to the city), and Muir Woods and beach. Highly recommend."
