"My goal was to visit Castles and see the countryside!We purposely selected this place for the fact it was kinda in the middle of Ireland, from where we would make day trips. It worked wonderfully! Our other purpose was to be away from Dublin and meet what I guessed would be the true Irish. Very Close by was a fantastic Pub, and restaurant. We stayed a week here. Safety was of no concern on this trip. The people were wonderful and the food fantastic. We visited 7 castles while here, and went to the cliffs of Moher. We saved an incredible amount of money doing this ourselves versus going on tour buses. Do be aware back roads can be extremely narrow. I surely brushed the rental car against hedgerows on occasion. Rent a small narrow car for this neck of the woods. A big SUV would have been very difficult to keep on your side of the road, on backroads . Our Host Margaret was wonderfully accommodating. "

"Wonderful view if the Lough. Good food and friendly service. The bathroom could do with brighter lighting and although breakfast was lovely (recommend the avocado, beetroot, posched eggs) it was not clear that you had to get your toast from the buffet which is strange seeing as it says on the menu scramble eggs on toast."

"A fantastic stay. Very clean and kitchen well stocked. Have to say it’s the best entertainment system (choice of TV) I’ve ever had!Would definitely recommend -Joe contacted me to make sure everything was ok- I didn’t need anything else as everything was so good. The beds were also amazingly good- important when on holiday."
