"Don’t think twice and just book this hotel. The location is wonderful, views beautiful, staff are lovely, food is incredible. One of the best breakfast buffets we have had. We booked half board and the dinner each night was over the top delicious.

Our family stayed at the Landal down the road and though more modern they were complaining about the noise from the traffic coming through while everything was so peaceful and quiet for us. The Hof is conveniently placed at the foot of the mountain next to the gondola. "The hotel is very well maintained and has lot of character. There are beautiful spaces around the property to hang out. The spa and steam room, pools are very nice to experience at the property.

The two things I would consider negative:
- the room was not very spacious

"Our stay at the beautiful 16th century Der Schlosswirt zu Anif was lovely. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, with a special mention to Kahlil (apologies for incorrect spelling of your name) who was very helpful on our arrival and during our stay.
Being such an old historic building, with solid old oak floors all over, it creeks and cracks when you walk across your room which in the day is charming but at night you will wake your sleeping partner. That aside, the place is true to its age and history and as it should be. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable along with the big fluffy pillows.
We used the sauna which was lovely and then braved the outdoor pool which was chilly initially but once in and swimming the chill wore off.
We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was delicious and exquisitely presented. With local wine suggestions from Kahlil that complemented our meal. Equally breakfast in the morning was good with plenty of options for continental or a menu for cooked dishes as well.
We would recommend for a nostalgic experience, be aware that there are many taxidermy animals around the building, which didn’t bother us."
