Excellent stay, great location by the lake. Comfortable and clean. Hosts were very friendly, efficient and helpful! The pool was very nice, and the water was warm. We would definitely stay at The Reef again.

The lady staff was lovely, beautiful spot. Beautiful spa and pool even in cold windy weather i was in there. Room had cooking facilities and very clean. Enjoyed my stay. The offsite gym you have access too Empower fitness is good too.

Thank you for such a wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well looked after. The reef resort is beautifully maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect place to relax. Our room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. We especially appreciated how warm and cosy it was during the winter weather, making it a lovely retreat after spending time outdoors. The front staff was friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. Thank you for your excellent hospitality. We had a fantastic experience and would happily recommend the reef resort to family and friends. We look forward to returning for another stay in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at The Reef! It was THE PERFECT spot for the IRONMAN race as it is on the run course in both the front and back route so saw my wife twice each round lol! Lake Taupo is just 50 yards away and road out is very accessible. Staff was super friendly, and the room was cleaned spotless every day. We would love to stay here again!

Lovely motel right on the lake. Quiet, comfortable and clean room which was a good size, with good amenities and a nice balcony and lake views.The staff were lovely and very helpful. Taupo is a lovely town with lots of cafes, bars, restaurants. Plenty to do.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff are so lovely, the location is incredible right on the lake, and our room was perfect and had the most amazing view. The pool was heated and we LOVED it — we spent at least 3 hours a day in it after our activities that day. Thank you to the team at Reef Resort, y’all make this a very special place.

We had a fantastic stay at The Reef Resort in Taupō. The location right on the lakefront was beautiful, with amazing views (the sunset and Mt Ruapehu were especially pretty) and easy access to walking tracks and town. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and both the thermal plunge pool and in-room spa were a real highlight after a day exploring the area (the main pool was out of action for re-painting, however this didn't bother us and we were offered free use of a sister complex pool not far away). The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the entire complex was well maintained, clean and quiet. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay — we’d happily return and would definitely recommend it to others visiting Taupō.
