PARKING!!!

Parking is not free!!! Overnight valet is $35/night! Street parking is 2.50/hr, free after midnight until 8am every day but Sunday when its free until 2pm. I stayed in one of the hostel rooms for under $50. I had 5 roommates who were reasonably decent human beings, but everyone gets up and lays down at different times and makes different amounts of noise in doing so. The mattress was pretty low end, if I wasn’t so tired, I would have minded. They give you the tiniest gumball-machine padlock for your locker, so if you care at all about security, bring your own. The shower barely got hot and took a while to do so, but in the end the room served its purpose for a quick one-night stay.

Not bad for the price

The place was nice. Except house keeping doesn’t speak a lick of English and they keep coming in your room to turn over the other beds. One lady asked me a question as if I was fluent in Spanish. I could only understand a few words. Great view decent location

Truly a posh hostel

Amazingly clean, great continental breakfast offered every morning. Right in the middle of downtown Tampa close to many attractions and fine restaurants. Very easy walking area including a garden-lined walkway to the free street car to Ybor City. Highly recommended. When one sees the entrance to the hotel a fine historic building from 1926 you're amazed at the Grand ballrooms dining rooms and crystal chandeliers. At first I thought I'd come to the wrong place but then I realized that I did. Exceptionally polite and accommodating staff even helping me with a major injury.

The bed is not comfortable. Needs to be changed. The bunk bed is not sturdy enough. Need to be change into a wooden not a metal one . Need more pillows at lease 3.

Avoid unless you like staying in shelters

This is not a hostel like you would assume to find in other cities. The room was clean and bed was ok with linens. The location is sketchy and had a ton of homeless at the bus stop where you park your car. Also it’s $30 to park over night. The hardest part is that you will be staying with border line homeless people. I was locked out of my room when I returned, security had to get me in the room and someone was already trying to take my bed. I slept in my clothes to avoid having my stuff stolen. Was awakened at 0620 as two occupants of the room argued over a missing jacket. One visitor threatened to shoot the other. Cops came to cap off an overall garbage experience. I stayed 4/26 in room 406 bunk 1. I will never stay at Bposhtels again
