I've stayed at the Lord Baltimore Hotel several times over the past few years, mainly because of its convenient location and its affordability/value. This latest stay demonstrated that the hotel is making efforts to improve the lobby, dining options, and the hotel rooms. My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room had a microwave, (empty) refrigerator, coffee maker, large TV, and plenty of outlets to plug in devices. I didn't get the WiFi to work because I didn't know the password, although I could have asked the front desk staff about that --I have enough cellular service that I didn't need Wifi for a one-night stay. My biggest disappointment was that the bathroom was not updated like the room had been, and the mildew around the bathtub/shower smelled strong enough that the odor was noticeable in the room. If the bathrooms get a fresh update, this would definitely be one of the best hotels in Baltimore in its price range.

Location is great. Walk to everything and very safe. Hotel is old and in need of repairs. The blinds in my room, wouldn't open all the way and I only found out the 2nd day that the door wasn't closing well enough to lock when I left the room. They need new carpets and paint, although everything was clean, just a bit shabby. Breakfast is extremely plentiful with piles of pastries and muffins, but the quality is inconsistent. One day the muffins were just fine, but the next they were so dry that I didn't eat. Staff is courteous and in fairness I did not complain about the blinds or the door lock.

"Overall, the place is clean and very comfortable.
