We stayed six nights in a spacious 9th-floor double queen room. The soundproofing was impressive—despite overlooking the lively wharf, we barely heard a thing. The riverside view of the Potomac was stunning, perfect for plane spotting and watching evening thunderstorms. Hotel staff were consistently warm and welcoming, always greeting us and holding doors, while the concierge offered brilliant local advice. The location is ideal for walkers, just a quick ten-minute stroll from the Tidal Basin and monuments. Two Metro stations are nearby, alongside a free shuttle to the National Mall and water taxis five minutes away ($21 each way). From Dulles Airport, it’s a 40-minute Uber ($60–$80) or a direct Metro ride to L’Enfant Plaza. The Wharf offers great dining, lively on weekends and relaxed weeknights. A nearby CVS is handy for daily snacks, though the hotel supplies complimentary bottled water. If visiting in summer, definitely bring bug spray for the waterfront! A few minor service quirks are worth noting: a third-party booking glitch kept adding extra charges to our bill overnight. Front desk fixed it swiftly, but I had to ask three separate times, so keep an eye on your folio. Housekeeping was also unpredictable, sometimes cleaning past 4 PM when we wanted to rest. One day our door was left unlatched after servicing, and cleaners knocked early on check-out day, which felt rushed. Overall, it’s a brilliant DC home base despite those few administrative hiccups.

Clean & well kept property, very friendly staff, housekeeping went above & beyond. Only issue was at check in when 1 of our 2 rooms wasn't ready & they didn't have the floor we pre-reserved available. But they made it up in other ways.

We really enjoyed this hotel! Great location, beautiful and spacious room, breakfast was delicious AND the service was EXCEPTIONAL! We can't wait for a reason to return!
