  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. I took a moment to pray, asked my question and got a ying and a yang out of the throw. The belief is, that the result comes from within your own heart.

Wonderful Stay!!

Highly recommended for anyone be it work, family or couple. Each and every staff that I have encountered at Aloft has got an excellent attitude. I feedback to front desk regarding the shampoo pump in my room not working well, and they immediately attended to me next and even drop a letter at my door to inform that they had attended to the issue. I will definitely return back here again!

The happy hour (2pm to 4pm) and lounge area unless there is an event is a plus point. The size of the king bed was also very big. The staff diligently greets the guests and does housekeeping with refill of bottled waters. It was a pity that the gym was too small and lacking in weights and treadmill and that the swimming pool area is closed.

Much nicer rooms and much more friendly staff than the Alofts that you typically find in the USA. This particular location has a small but functional gym near the top floor (very clean, a few cardio machines, a sit up bench, just no weights) with nice views over the city. The rooms are spacious (for the location) and clean with a great modern set up. The hotel is also SUPER conveniently located very very close to Shuang Cheng Jie Night Market. It is about 4-5min away by walking. At night, it's a small night market that opens fairly late (some stalls will stay open beyond midnight whereas many other night markets start wrapping up around midnight), and by day, there are many other day time stalls and restaurant options open. It is also located near many banks, and the hotel is located on a MRT line, which makes transportation super convenient. The hotel is about 10min away from the closest MRT station. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel.

It’s not in a tourist area, but very convenient access to the orange and red MRT lines. There is an also a small night market right next to the hotel that provides the night market food and experience without the crowd. Property is well maintained and clean.

Clean n modern hotel

Clean and modern hotel. The Splash room has 2 queen beds good for 4 people. They have a bath tub and separated bathing and toilet rooms. Overall room size is spacious. Location is within walking distance to 2 mrt stations. Near to a small night market that serves morning breakfast too.

Good location but need improvements

Good location and cloudy bed. Memory foam pillow is all taken and no YouTube/Netflix, not like 4 star hotel. Staff is quite busy so prepare to wait.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It is 5 minutes to the red and orange Metro lines and bus lines. There are three 24-hour coin operated self-service laundromats. The Shuang Cheng night market is two short blocks behind the hotel where one can find a variety of meals, snacks and breakfast, not to mention boba teas. The hotel also has free drinks and snacks during the day. Overall, highly recommended.
